Product Information

Protect your valuable firearms, dies, bullet molds etc. Each 1" x 1" x .050" chip produces a rust-inhibiting vapor that protects steel, copper, brass and aluminum for up to one year and protects up to 20 cubic inches of space.

Technical Information

Material: Cardboard squares that have been treated with a rust preventative chemical.
Dimensions: 1" X 1" X 32 Mils thick
Notes:

Packaged in a zipper plastic bag

Will protect steel, brass, copper, and aluminum.

1 chip protects 20 cubic inches of volume for 1 year in an airtight container.

Do not burn used chips due to chemical treatment.

I have used these chips in all sorts of applications. I place one of these in the die case and then store the cases inside of a larger plastic storage tub. Change them every year or so and no rust yet. I toss a couple in my tool box in the basement with the same results. I will place 5-6 in a gun case while traveling on hunting trips because they just plain work. That is why I have been using them for 10+ years.

Large, heat-reactivated boxes or cannisters of rust inhibitor have their places, like gun cabinets and safes. The problem is that most items that can rust are small and, naturally, they are stored in small containers. From the die boxes on your loading bench to the tool box in your car's trunk, these otherwise great products are overkill on the order of using a chainsaw to dress a rabbit. For most jobs, they cost too much, take up too much valuable space, and most of their power is wasted. That's why I couldn't get along without my MidwayUSA Rust Inhibitor Chips. They do a perfect job of protecting my tools and die sets from rust. They are long lasting, inexpensive, and disposable. For small conatiners, the size of prescription bottles or deburring tool tubes, I cut them into halves or thirds to fit. For a reloading die box, one chip is perfect. For larger containers, like tool boxes or table top display cases, I toss in several. Once a year or so, I trash the old ones and replace them with new ones. MidwayUSA Rust Inhibitor Chips are inexpensive and work to perfection. How many products can you say that about?us

I use these in ammo cans ...

I use these in ammo cans and they work very well. So well that I have never had a problem with rust on my bullet casing molds since I started using them. This is an accomplishment in the high-humidity of the South. I plan on purchasing more of these in the future.
