Finally found the Bullet my old Savage 110 22-250 likes,with amazing results.Pushed with Varget Powder and Sierra recommended seating depth, I got a 3 shot group of .27" at 100 yards at 3910 fps.Cant wait to try out how it performs on Coyotes.

I use these in my Ruger 77/22 chambered in 22 Hornet. The load consists of Win 296 and Fed GM205M primers at a chronographed speed of 2530 fps. Zeroed at 125 yards this round has hit jack rabbits and squirrels at 215 yards with devastating effects.

I recently loaded up some ammo for a friend , Who had just purchased a used Savage 110 in .223 rem. I was out of some of the "fancy" varmint bullets, So I loaded these 45 gr Sierras with 28 grains of Win748 & Bench rest primers @ 100 yds the bullets produced a group less than 1/2" at 3590fps. SWEET!

I use this bullet for hunting with the 218 Bee when I don't want the explosive expansion of some of the more usual varmint type bullets. It is hard enough that it does not typically explode when running at under 3K . It works well for head shooting edible game and doesn't tear hides as badly as more frangible bullets can. The downside is that it isn't always as positive as softer bullets for quickly dropping larger animals like foxes. It's a fine open country bullet in that application however.

These bullets are interesting because they are the hardest varmint bullet I know of. The core is 3% antimony and the jacket is .011" thick at the tip and .022" at the base. This makes them slightly tougher than the 22 cal. Sierra 55 grain GameKing which is the same except only .009 jacket thickness at the tip. I have shot quite a few ground squirrels at 200 -250 yards and they expand well with a MV of 3500 fps. My interest in these is to try them this winter on coyotes at 3400 fps to see if they will eliminate large entrance holes in the pelts. As do most Sierras, they shoot quite well in my 223 with H-322 powder.

I tried this bullet and the 40 grain Sierra HP trying to work up a load with Ramshot TAC and this bullet shot the best for me in my CZ 550 Varminter. I worked up loads for each of them starting at the lowest and working up the Max. The load my gun liked was nowhere near the max load. If I had a better rest than my soft case for the front and an empty cartridge box for resting the rear stock I would have been able to get better than 1" at a 100. If you are looking for a bullet that likes Ramshot Tac for a 22-250. Try this one out. I cant wait to see what these do to critters. Should be a show.
