Product Information

The A-3 is a modified lightweight version of McMillan's famous A-2 stock but still retains all of the features of the orginal. The forend is .312" shallower from top to bottom to provide a more stable platform when shooting from sand bags or a front rests. Semi-inletted stock is for right hand only and must be fitted to specific action. Fits varmint barrel contours. Includes pre-installed recoil pad and sling studs.

Material: Multi-layer fiberglass cloth laminated with epoxy resin. Receiver area is filled with solid fiberglass, forend is filled with epoxy and glass beads. Butt portion is filled with urethane foam.

Work Needed:
  • Action may be bedded to stock, but acceptable accuracy is possible without bedding. The manufacturer recommends a free-floating barrel. Barrel channel is made with .050" clearance so that barrel should remain free-floating after action is installed in the stock.
