With all the noise from firing, I can't really tell if it helps that much. But, anytime you can keep the end of the spring from touching the end of the buffer tube, it has to help. You know metal to metal is never good. I did not have any problems with my gun's operation.

Bought one and then bought 3 more. While they do not stop the twang, they are round, which is a good thing to have because they are easy on the buffer retaining pin.

This product does not stop the twang sound from the buffer spring. In addition it prevented complete travel of my bolt carrier. Caused a great deal of trouble before I figured out that the twang buster was the problem. This is a definite don't buy.

These do not stop any "twang" sound. Not worth the money. I even tried different buffer springs and buffers but to no avail. Still got the "twang" sound. Save your money and spend it on ammo. With Double Stars name on these I thought they would have at least done some R&D with these. It's a waste of money and time.
