Each Sightron SIII is nitrogen filled to prevent fogging and is also water, fog and shockproof. Other features include easy to adjust target style turrets. scope works very well. ...

scope works very well. glass is great 32x is awesome. i have a love hate relationship with it though. the reticle is fine, very fine, which makes the dot hard to see at times. in low light conditions this scope sucks, you cannot see the dot at all.

I also rate this scope as being an excellent long range choice. I've had my Sightron 8-32x56 for 8 months now, and I've been using it! Tracking is perfect, I've had no problems making first round hits at various ranges out to 1000 yards. The glass is great, my Dad has a Mark 4 8.5-25x50 and side by side there is no difference in clarity. Low light resolution is very good even at full power. The 32 magnification is really more than you need for 1000 yard shooting, but it's great for determining the size of a rack from way out there, or spotting your own shots.

I chose this scope over ...

I chose this scope over the Leupold VX-III Long Range rifle scopes simply because they are better. Images are clearer and brighter. Even though this is going to cost me $$$, when it comes to long range competition, this has become a necessity. My two (2) Leupold VX-III 8.5-25X50 scopes are for sale now. Repeatability is second to none. I like the fine crosshairs and dot better than a busy mil-dot. Mounted these on a 22-250 and 300 WSM for 1,000 yard F-Class competition. The 32 power brings the target in close and IF mirage is a consideration for you, then remember you can dial the magnification back to a acceptable level. These scopes represent the best value on the market today and have been compared to Nightforce.

This is the Sightron that ...

This is the Sightron that I have bought. I'm shooting a Savage 6-5 284 Norma, I have shot the gun twice now and am very happy with it . It's very clear and the clicks are positive. This is truly a 1000yd scope, I had no problems getting elevation at range, with room to spare. Very good scope for the price. I hope they consider 1/8 minute clicks, it would help at longer ranges. I would buy another.
