Love it! Building up on a Springfield GI and this trigger (even though it says it should) didn't require any fitting for my gun. Fit was much better than short factory part. As far as other reviews above there is no "take-up" adjustment...just overtravel. And as far as Springfield's being better or the same...he must have a loaded model...most adjustable triggers will not dramatically feel that different assuming all are made right and not dragging anywhere (fitted and polished right) This unit feels great and is VERY well made (frankly better than Wilsons and tougher to and I'm a Wilson dealer (and could have had one at cost and bought this one anyway). It looks better too...matte grey alum. looks great with a black or park. 1911. Use some loctite to hold set-screw screw it in until the gun won't fire then back it out a TINY bit until it just barely will fire. I go a good 1/4 to 1/2 (closer to 1/2) a turn beyond that point for better reliability. If you get loctite inside the gun flush it with alcohol and blow it out with an air gun. Oil and blow out excess the same way. If it drags anywhere file/stone/ polish it till it doesn't...thats about it. Again I didn't even touch this one...just installed it. I would have polished it if it needed it...it didn't VERY pleased.

The fit was ok with no adjustments. However the hole drilled in the trigger for the adjustment was rough to the touch and I had to buff it. Also no allen wrench is included and it is metric. I had to purchase an entire set at the hardware store.

Another great product from Ed Brown. Had to sand just a little off the bottom of the trigger and a very small, fine burr off the bow. Polished it up a little and worked like a dream. Looks awesome in my R1 and a great improvement over the factory trigger. My first 1911 and my first trigger job. Couldn't have been any easier.

To put this review into context, I Love Ed Brown products. However, I have used many other triggers and none of them required this much fitting. To fit my Kimber Pro Carry II I had to take apx. 1/16" off of both the top and the bottom! Quite a pain when you have to make sure that both sides are perfectly flush. The trigger bar is a little rough, but just a couple of minutes polishing gave a mirror finish. Now that the work has been done I have been nothing but happy with it, very crisp trigger pull.

Installed this trigger on my SA 1911 Mil-Spec. Polished the bow and fit the shoe in about 30 min. (My first time doing my own work). Works beautifully, feels much better than stock and looks good too! Ended up with just less than 1/16 pre-travel and NO over-travel; didn't need the over-travel adjustment screw at all. Great trigger, easy to fit/install, works/feels great. I highly recommend this trigger.

I bought the Ed Brown Videki trigget for my old Charles Daly because the stock trigger was too short and a little sloppy. The Ed Brown trigger took quite a bit of polishing with 800 and 1500 grit sandpaper to make it fit, but now the fit is perfect and the trigger pull is vastly improved over stock. There is no noticable creep or overtravel. I'm not a gunsmith by any stretch, so don't be concerned about fitting this trigger to your pistol. It's fairly easy and there are lots of helpful videos online.

I gave this a 4 Star rating. I purchased it for a Colt Combat Commander and the trigger did require substantial fitting. Patient sanding with 800 and 1000 grit sanding boards was required to both thin the thickness of the trigger and to fit (vertical fit) the trigger well. Patient sanding and trial fitting took about 2 hours to get the perfect fit. The top and bottom of the leading edge of the trigger appears to have a slight taper, but it did not affect the fit or function. Once fitted and the set screw properly adjusted, the trigger worked perfectly in my pistol. For some frames that adhere closely to the spec for 1911 and commander sized frames, this is not a drop in part. Will require fitting.

Required very minor fitting for my SA lightweight GI Champion. Appears to be very well made with a nice finish. I'm not a gunsmith by any means but fitting was quite easy with a few minutes with a sanding block and a little buffing. Big improvement over stock trigger and looks real sharp.

Great trigger!! I have a Colt 1911 Commanders Model .45 and it needed a little trimming on the top & bottom. This trigger made my .45 look much better and it performs much better. I would highly recommend this trigger! The serrated edge on the trigger really helps for accuracy and grip.

Ordered this trigger for a Remington R1 1911. The trigger did require minor fitting to narrow the width to attain a proper fit. I am satisfied with quality of product as it did improve the look of the R1. While at it I also installed a Cylinder & Slide Sear Spring. The combined products did slightly improve the trigger feel.
