Thick all plastic ...

Thick all plastic construction. The hinge on the back is made of plastic but not the kind that eventually breaks from repeated use. The total inside height is about 3.2" and each square is roughly .5" x .5". For the money this is well worth it and I would recommend it. Hope this review helps.

I absolutely love MTM ...

I absolutely love MTM Flip-Top Ammo Boxes. They are sturdy and very durable. I was looking for a good ammo box that I could stack easily on my shelves and that would help me to organize my reloads. My only complaint is not with the function of the product but that there is not enough color options available. I will recommend this product to anyone interested and I will continue to purchase these as needed.

Really like the new MTM ...

I have ordered several of ...

I have ordered several of these in various calibers and they are made to last, heavy gauge, nice snap lock, tight fit. On the negative side with this one only, I bought 2 of these for my 7.62x39s and they fit in there up or down fine, BUT, if the box is not COMPLETELY full, and it gets turned sideways or upside down, they all fall out and roll around in the box. It is too deep for these cartridges. I put some bubble wrap in there to take care of it. A minor pain.
