MTM Shotshell Box with Handles are great for keeping dust and moisture away from loaded rounds of ammunition. The feature a Snap-lock latch, fold down handle and textured finish. They hold up to 3" shotshells with extra storage space allotted for calls or choke tubes. Lid has five shot shell holder for quick and easy access to loaded ammunition. 100-Round box has two removable trays.

Had one of these in 12 ga ...

Had one of these in 12 ga but wanted one for my 20 ga shotgun to store shells in instead of original boxes. This fits the bill. Perfect mate for the 12ga one. Strong and sturdy.

I hate to exactly parrot ...

I hate to exactly parrot what Gary Lambert said, but this IS an excellent .50 BMG ammo box. I reload 12 gauge, but I like smaller boxes to store the different loads I'm developing, and I toss the bulk 12 gauge shells in a military surplus .50 ammo box, so I guess I prefer a .50 BMG box for my 12 gauge shells and a 12 gauge shotshell box for my .50 BMG loads! The two black plastic trays can be used for .50 BMG load blocks but some brass case rims are slightly too large to press all the way into the holes in the tray, especially near the edges of the tray. When I carry fifty of the .50 BMG rounds, I put one tray in the bottom, and invert the other tray over the pointed bullets on top to keep them from coming loose and banging into each other. Last time at the range, I had ten tracers in one row, ten AP, ten incendiary in other rows, and 20 API in the bottom two rows, nicely organized. The box, hinges and handle withstood the weight of the fifty rounds of .50 BMG well, so it'd probably hold up to heavy 12 gauge shells too. I do wish it was black instead of camo, though.
