If you're considering ...

If you're considering purchasing the RCBS APS Hand Primer Tool, do not hesitate to order the APS Strip Loader too! This neat little tool makes loading ANY brand of primer as easy as 1-2-3. It is very user friend! The plug and play design is a no brainer. Simply insert an empty plastic Primer Strip into the feeding track, empty a package of primers on the green tray, shake a little if any of the primers need turning, cover the tray with the clear plastic lid, and simply tilt the primers towards the plastic primer strip, (similar to using the coin sorting machines found in grocery stores these days). 25 primers automatically slip right into the the proper position and with one press of the loading bar, you have a fully loaded strip of 25 primers. The whole process takes less than a minute. Now you're ready to feed your Primer Strips into the APS Hand Prming Tool -- The BEST hand primer you will ever find!

I have a lot of reloading equipment and I do a lot of reloading and I hate this plastic piece of junk. Mine will get two primers stuck side by side over one hole and one has to shake it quite a bit to get them out and there go all the other twenty -three. Then you start over. I am back to my <10.00 Lee primer tool ;it works great every time -all the time.

It really is too bad APS wasn't adopted by other manufacturers, this is the best way to load primers. Not much to the thing, I think it has just 2 moving parts.

I purchased this unit from Midway and spent about 30 minutes of frustration getting it to work properly. The problem was that a supply of strip loaders came with it and the instruction manual said "white" was the color code for large pistol primers. I inserted the strips and tried and tried to get the primers seated, to no avail. Fortunately, I had also ordered additional small and large pistol primer strips in the same order. I opened the package labeled large pistol and eureka! I was trying to load large primers in a small primer strip. Both are white which caused the confusion. With the large primer strips inserted, loading the primers was a snap. Now I know that both small and large pistol primer strips are white, I'll look closer and avoid the same mistake.

I bought the primer strip loader and bench priming tool, works like a charm. I followed the set up directions and it was a snap. I hated the primer on my Hornady Lock-N-Load AP. Never worked right from day one. I was using a Lee Auto Prime tool, which worked well, but my hands would be killing me after a few hundred rounds. I must admit I did not expect a whole lot after reading some reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. With this unit I can prime a 100 cases in a few minutes and no more tired hands. Great job RCBS

The first time or two that you use this it can be a little tricky. But once you get used to it, it is really easy to use and you'll be loading primer strips in no time. The flipper tray works well too. I buy all of my primers locally and haven't been able to find CCI primers in the preloaded strips around here. This tool makes that a non issue and I can use any brand of primer. I really like this system and am glad I bought it. The fact that it was on sale makes it even better.

If you have an APS priming system, you need one of these so you can use any primer you want, not just CCI.The machine does just like it is supposed to with no problems and is quick to use, about (1)minute to load one strip after you do a few.

Great product and easy to use if you read the fine print. The white strips are color coded for BOTH small pistol and Large pistol. Needless to say, I was trying to put large pistol primers into the small pistol strip. Wouldn't it have been easier to put a strip on the small pistol (or something). Darn near broke the thing trying to force the large pistol primers into the small holes. Works great when you get the correct strip set up.

A little confusing to set up at first, but this product has performed flawlessly. This system used in conjunction with the RCBS hand primer(strip model) will "spoil" you in a hurry. It sure beats priming by other methods, and it will save you a great deal of time. Very well designed and extremely durable.

I bought this to go with the APS strip priming tool.This tool is a must if you want to use differant brands of primers other than CCI.It takes a little bit of getting use to at first but once you get the hang of it it's really a good tool.
