This 6-position collapsible buttstock includes a removable and adjustable 3/8" cheekrest, a removable buttpad, sling swivel stud and requires no gunsmithing for installation. This stock uses the original buffer tube. Also available with the ergonomic and textured Strikeforce pistol grip.

This particular buttstock will fit on a Mil-Spec or Commercial diameter receiver extension buffer tube

Buffer tubes come either as Mil-Spec or Commercial diameter. The Mil-Spec buffer tube is 1.148" in diameter while the Commercial buffer tube is 1.168" in diameter. The standard is Mil-Spec and Commercial stocks and buffer tubes are usually described as such.

The buffer tube that was ...

The buffer tube that was provided with my purchase of this stock is approximately .25" too short! I bought it exclusively for my LR-308 and the bolt simply does not come back far enough for proper chambering and bolt catch engagement. I like the shape of the interface to thy shoulder, but this stock is very cheaply made and NOT use-able. I surmise you get what you pay for, I simply wish 50 bucks was capable of being use-full instead of trash.

I ordered the ATI ...

I ordered the ATI telescoping stock for my Bushmaster AR. I wanted the adjustable cheek piece feature. The product info said that it was used with the existing buffer tube. It didn't mention that you already had to have a telescoping stock on your rifle or that you would need a buffer tube for a telescoping stock. So I ordered a Bushmaster telescoping stock with buffer tube. When I tried to put the ATI stock on the Bushmaster tube, the ATI locking pin would not fit in the holes on the Bushmaster tube. The ATI pin measures 0.311 while the Bushmaster measures 0.309. Makes a big difference. I had to take the pin out of the Bushmaster stock and replace the ATI pin with it. The product description should have been clear about the need for an adjustable buffer tube and the pins should have been interchangeable. This shouldn't have been such a pain.

I like the stock, but it ...

I like the stock, but it should be noted that it is for commercial tubes, not milspec. It fits fine on my DPMS but it's a REALLY tight fit on my two milspec tubes. This should be mentioned on the blurb, and it is mentioned in ATI's web site.
