fired these in an original 1873 Win. in 38wcf 5shot groups all less than 1"at 50 yds shot better than XTP's with the same powder charge and the same brass. also shot great in my ruger buckeye convertible 38-40 -10mm in both calibers will definitely be buying more

I also loaded these for a pair of 38-40 revolvers. I used a Lee factory crimp die to create a moderate crimp just ahead of the full-diameter band. My loads are in the 1,050 to 1,100 fps range. These have been by far the most accurate bullets that I have tried in 38-40's.

The Golden Saber is THE ...

The Golden Saber is THE bullet to use for full-power 10mm Auto loads. The lower friction resulting from the smaller contact area of the "driving band" allowed me to push these bullets at velocities over 1,400 FPS from my 5" 10mm pistols without signs of overpressure. The bullet performed quite well at these velocities, with devastating effects in ballistic clay. Also, the smaller diameter of the bullet where the case is crimped has made feeding more reliable than with other 180 and 200 grain JHP bullets. Excellent product.

I put a cannelure on them ...

I put a cannelure on them (just ahead of the bullet's groove)and load them in a Colt 38-40 SAA Gen. 3. 1 to 1.5 in at 25yds with sandbag plus some one hole 5 shot groups. If your sick of cleaning lead it is an amazing practice load at mid range powder charge and beats any 180 lead I've tried.

I was extremely pleased with the performance of the Remington Golden Saber .40 S & W bullets. I tried to duplicate my duty load as nearly as I could, and I found no discernible difference (without chronographing the loads)in either performance or accuracy between my issued Hydra-Shok bullet and the Golden Saber. Definitely one of the better buys on the website.

I would have given this ...

I would have given this bullet 5 stars if accuracy had been better. I loaded these to 1300 fps in a full size Witness 10mm auto, 4.5" barrel. Expansion was explosive to say the least. The bullet went through a shoulder roast from an 80-lb. wild hog, breaking the bone, and then penetrated 1.5" into a telephone book. The bullet was completely destroyed. Accuracy was 2" @ 15 yards.
