Excellent performer and ...

Excellent performer and thank God for Remington; The only company that will sell you a truly premium bullet at bulk rates! This bullet really is premium too; expansion is consistent and quite aggressive. Weight retention is excellent and accuracy can't be beat. We consistently shoot 1" - 2" groups at our range from 45 feet offhand with no difficulty at all with a number of guns including a Springfield Compact, a customized Star PD and a whole selection of Colts in various configurations. Try this bullet with Unique or a little less Power Pistol and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

These bullets are a good ...

These bullets are a good value. They shoot extremely well out of all my 1911's. However the last batch of 500 had severe staining blotches on the brass jackets. They looked like they had gotten wet somehow and stained the brass jacketing. Seems to be purely cosmetic though. The quality of this last bullet order were like what you would expect when you buy "seconds" or "blems".

I loaded these 185 grain ...

I loaded these 185 grain GS bullets and they shoot at point of aim in my wife's Glock 30 and in my Taurus PT-1911, and Springfield XD Tactical. What more can a person want? I've found them to be very accurate and they hit hard with a 45 recoil that is easy to control.

I have not been able to ...

I have not been able to get these to consistently crimp in the cases. When loading a mag, they push into the casing. The slight "rib" on the bullet is right where the crimp should be and will not hold properly. I love these in factory loads and will not give up! Will be ordering Nickel brass to try as the few I had worked well.

Easy reloading bullet. ...

Easy reloading bullet. Cycles flawlessly through my PT145PRO. BUT, expect to get a few undersized bullets (.448) that positively will not crimp. Midway will take them back but, I have started using them with sabots in my .50 cal black powder rifle. I have had eight undersized out of the last 300 lot size. Just a heads up for the novice and the pro.

Just tested this round in ...

Just tested this round in soap. They went through two layers of denim, expanded to .63 and penetrated 13.5 inches of soap. I am loading these with Vihtavuori N340. Not able to chronograph today. Great bullet and easy to load. It will be my go to round for my Sig P220.

Excellent performers from ...

Excellent performers from both my Kimber Custom and XD Service. In a +P load, I've been able to reach 1150fps in my 5 in. Kimber with safe pressures and a true 1075 from the XD Service, and expansion is .70-.75 with 12-13 in. penetration in ballistic media. Wound cavity is huge in the first 6 inches. Accuracy is on par with several of my target loads, and the Kimber will hold 1-1.5 inch groups @ 25yds. This load has replaced my long time favored defense load.

I prefer 185 gr hollow ...

I prefer 185 gr hollow points in 45 ACP simply because of bullet velocity, the golden saber has violent expansion. Soak a 3 inch thick telephone book in a 5 gallon bucket of water overnight. Use it to target practice to get a idea of the wound cavity this bullet will produce. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 7.
