One day at the shooting range, I gave a box of these & a Ruger 22/45 pistol to a friend of mine. Three hours later he still had that "Cat at the Fish Mongers" grin on his face. That's what I call VALUE!! There was ONE bad round out of the entire box (the bullet had been seated poorly). The pistol FLAWLESSLY gobbled up the entire rest of the box. Cheap fun is what plinking is all about & these are just about the biggest bang for the buck there is. I've fed these to every .22 I own & they always function just dandy. As for accuracy, nary a tin can has survived to tell tales.

Very disappointed, about ...

Very disappointed, about 15% of them don't go off. This is the only brand I am having trouble with. Federal auto match worked perfect so did the other shells I have used but Remington lacks quality control and appears to no longer care about whether their customers get quality products. When I buy bullets I expect them to go off and not turn my trip to the shooting range into a problem, it is no fun when you get 1 or 2 duds per 10 round clip. If you think this is a good product do a search on Google on this problem you will be surprised at all the other people having the same problems. If Remington thinks that it is acceptable to sell something this unreliable they will start losing customers.

This is a plinking round, I do not expect it to hold MOA at 100 yards. I have bought the cheap stuff before and it WILL NOT feed in my wife's Browning Buck Mark Challenge (out of production, gee wonder why). This remington ammo will run in this gun all day long. It does well enough to my 9 year old to practice with.

Have used this ammo if my ...

Have used this ammo if my Ruger 22/45 with zero failures. I have also used this ammo in AR type 22's with zero failures while other ammo was jamming constantly. I will not hesitate to use this ammunition again.

Average accuracy. Very ...

Average accuracy. Very dirty. When shooting in semiauto pistol, lots of burning orange sparks (I assume it's unburned propellant) comes out the ejection port, burning the back of my right hand. In my guns I get 1-2% duds with these, and in my Ruger 22/45 I get lots of extraction/ejection problems with these (but that gun is very finicky about ammo). Buy when nothing else is available, I guess, and use only for practice, not for anything where a dud or a failure to eject the fired case could lead to embarrassment or worse. Supposedly they've improved QC on these since last year but I can't tell.

I do not understand why ...

I do not understand why this ammo is rated so low from other people . This ammo is my go to round when some pest has to be persuaded to never come back. The bullets are never dented and have always expanded and penetrated well even on coyotes. Thank you , Remington and Midway USA for keeping this product in stock

One word --- D I R T Y ! ...

One word --- D I R T Y ! Brought two Ruger 10/22s to the range. Figured I'd just use some cheap ammo to check the cycling after some trigger mods in the first gun, so I grabbed the Remington "Golden Bullets". Good news, the trigger mods worked. Bad news, 50 rounds of this stuff made that 10/22 dirtier than the other 10/22. The cleaner 10/22 was a the one I put 525 rounds of CCI Blazer down to break in a new barrel. Wow, what a difference 525 rounds of CCI Blazer were cleaner than 50 rounds of this junk!

Tried a box of 525 and ...

Tried a box of 525 and was disappointed. The first 6 rounds out of 9 loaded in my Taurus Model 94 failed to fire. However the next 90 rounds fired w/o a single problem other than leaving a lot of powder and copper flaking. I contacted Remington and was advised that rounds produced prior to March 2010 had a primer assembly issue which caused the primer mix to be insensitive when inserted into the rim of the shell. Remington replaced the rounds and I have had no problems since other than supply & demand driven shortages. One constant about rimfire is its inconsistency. There is a webpage that rates the top 55 rimfire rounds. Just google "top .22 ammo"

The bullets work good but ...

The bullets work good but MIDWAY, you need to tape the 525 packs for shipping. I maybe got about half the box of bullets as they were falling outside the package when delivered. The flimsy Remington boxes for that many bullets are already weak. I had bullets going everywhere.
