A Great Varmint bullet ...

A Great Varmint bullet for the 250-3000 Savage Kills Coyotes DEAD! Keep the velocities around 2800 fps Accuracy to 200 yards is less than 1.5 inches Win 760 is the Powder I use.

I shoot this bullet out ...

I shoot this bullet out of a Winchester 1892 with H110 powder and get very good accuracy. Used with both Rem. & Win. brass. The 75 gr. Winchester flat-nose bullet is also accurate in my rifle but these 86 grainers give me slightly smaller groups. Just used for target practice, have no hunting experience with it.

This is the factory ...

This is the factory bullet for the .25-20, and the heaviest bullet adequate for tubular magazines. It expands well and gave good accuracy in my Marlin M1894. In my opinion it is too soft for deer: too little energy when fired from the .25-20 and it will over-expand fired out of the larger .250 Savage, etc. For small game or target use it is a great bullet in the .25-20!

I am using this bullet in ...

I am using this bullet in a 25-35 Winchester of new manufacture. I got 100 to begin with, because I had heard the twist rate of these rifles really only permitted use of 117 Hornady with any degree of accuracy. I use this bullet for plinking and varmint control. I have no use for a 25-35 for deer, so this gun is my all around truck gun. In my state, large and dangerous game is not around, so this does everything from coyotes on down. It does expand well, and it is reasonably accurate. Greg Mushial's data applied, I have gotten some .7 to 1.5 inch groups depending on the powder. The bullet works in this gun, although I did not have the lower cannelure like is on some of these bullets of newer manufacture. They have worked satisfactorily anyway. Remington bullets are a plus for the volume shooter!

This is the classic ...

This is the classic bullet for the 25-20WCF. It is the bullet that I have found works the best in this cartridge. I am aware that this is an old and somewhat obscure cartridge and I amgratful to have a source like Midway where these bullets can be found.
