With my old alum/steel ...

With my old alum/steel clng rods, this holder worked great, but with the new Tipton Carbon Fiber rods (top handle heavy) the handles in the rack tend to roll fwd. Change the bevel angle of the slots in the rack to fit the new rods and they should fit just fine. Or you can drill 'em out.

I bought this rack back ...

I bought this rack back in 2006, and just recently got a carbon rod from Tipton, along with several Dewey rods, all the rods that I have including the Tipton carbon rod hang vertically (no canting, and not altercation to the rack). I did not need to alter this rack at all, it is a great rack for the price, keeps my rods safe.

I have to agree with the ...

I have to agree with the other comments. The Tipton carbon fiber rods don't hang straight because the rack holes are not inletted enough to compensate for the extra handle weight. I shouldn't have to do Tipton's job in order to use the rack. I gave them two stars because they at least included the screws to hang the rack with. Oddly enough, some other brands of rods fit nicely. They should let people know that the carbon fiber rods won't hang correctly in this unit.

Maybe I'm missing ...

Maybe I'm missing something here. I mounted the bracket on the wall but when I put the cleaning rods on it the rods tip over. The weight of the Tipton handles are heavier than the rod, making them top heavy when placed in the rack.

Works well with all brands I tried (Dewey, Hoppe, Bianchi, and others), EXCEPT Tipton Fiber Rods! Strange but true; the Tipton rod holder is Not compatible with all Tipton cleaning rods!

When I bought this, I did ...

When I bought this, I did not believe that I would be able to fill 6 slots....who needs 6 cleaning rods? But mine is over-flowing now. Rifle cleaning rod, handgun cleaning rod....and it is a great place to hand your Bore Snake to dry after cleaning it. This rack comes with mounting hardware.I can't get too excited about this product, it's just a Cleaning Rod Rack , but it does its job and can easily carry the weight of four cleaning rods and four Bore Snakes...

Works good with other rods but not the Tipton Carbon Fiber Rods which I purchased it for. The carbon rods are too handle heavy and do not hang straight. They need to be hung by the hole in the handle. I failed to read the reviews first!

Very handy, works great ...

Very handy, works great with my assortment of Dewey rods. Individual rod slots are relieved slightly to prevent rod from falling out. Slot spacing almost a little too close together for my older "T" handle style cleaning rods. Pleased enough I bought a second one to get all my rods up and out of the way, handy and safe from damage by curious hands.
