Wont stay zeroed on my FAL .308. Had to adjust after every 3rd shot. This is the gun I bought the scope for. Works great on the AR (223). Bottom line is " you get what you pay for".

For it's price range, it's great, but you get what you pay for. A Bushnell Banner is a far superior scope for anti-glare and anti-fog, and adjustment tracking, but the Barska at least does it's job.I purchased a Barska Varmint 6-24x42mm Mil-dot in Nov 2009. I mounted it on a Bushmaster AR-15 Varminter .223 and have ran over 2,000 rounds through it on targets, bobcats, coyotes, and prairie dogs.For a cheap scope, it performs as expected. On a warm, clear day, during mid-day hours, at reasonable ranges, if you properly focus the objective, it's decent. However, during morning or evening hours, the Barska scope gets a terrible glare (remedy: ARD, sunshade, or stretch a piece of wide electrical tape around the rim of the objective). In any moisture, or on cool mornings or evenings calling coyotes, it fogs terribly.The scope adjustment tracking was poor. 10 clicks up followed by 10 clicks down doesn't end up back at your zero. The adjustable objective markings are terribly off, but finding focus isn't hard.The zero holds well. The scope is easy to focus, and has very little parallax error (surprisingly). I've always thought it's somewhat silly to put a mil-dot reticle in a SFP scope, but it works.For a guy on a shoestring budget, a guy that wants a dirt cheap scope to do some casual plinking, or a guy that bought an expensive rifle and needs a budget scope to hold him over until he can afford a real scope, then this scope will "work". Again, the bushnell banner is a much better scope, and the Barska sure aint a nightforce or Leupold, but it'll do.

This scope is fabulous. I have it on my rem 700 varmint in 308. Sighted it in at 200 yards and shot sub moa with federal power shok 150 gr ammo and rem umc 150 grain ammo. Great glass. Clarity is excellent up until 20x. At the price I can't give it less then 5 stars ( I called barska for ranging with the mil-dot ret 10x and it's 3.6 inches at 100 yards).

I slapped it on my Ruger MKII 7mm Rem Mag and zeroed it. It has held zero, no change in point of impact. Great zoom power, but gets slightly hazy past 12-14x. I haven't used it during low light conditions yet, but it is very clear during daylight.

I got this scope with a used 22-250 Ruger M1-V last year. After doing some varmint shooting around dusk I'm shopping to replace it. It's not a bad scope in bright conditions, especially at such a crazy low price point. It holds zero very well, its faily clear edge to edge, and the AO seems to be accurate. The reticle lines are nice and thin which is important for long range work on small critters. However, in dim conditions it is useless in all but the lowest magnification, and the eye relief has a very short range with any magnigfication above 12x or so. It's hard to get a clear picture if your rest isn't rock solid. If you are shooting off a benchrest on sunny days its actually a great buy. Otherwise pass. There are a lot of great optics out there for just a few bucks more. I've had great luck with the Bushnell Banner series. I'm going to replace this one with the Banner 6-24x40AO or more likely the Banner 6-18x50AO that happens to be on sale right now for just over 100 bucks.

I put one of these on a 6mm Rem. It holds adjustment good but is a little hazy at 300 yds but not bad. I shot 3" groups at 400yds. Real good for the price. Think I will get another one.

An excellent scope for the price. Installed it on my .308 and I am cutting the same hole with five shot groups at 100 yards... Can't wait to try it at longer ranges. The parallax adjustment is also very accurate, no blur at 100 yards on 24 power. If you're on a budget like me, this scope is worth its weight in gold.

I have one of these Barska Scopes on my Ruger 10/22. It's a centerfire rifle scope but works great on my target grade rimfire. The clarity at 50 and 100 yards @ 12 power is incredible. The adjustable objective makes parallax error a non-issue. I'd recommend it to anyone for this application.
