This Kensight Bo-Mar Rear Night Sight is Fully Adjustable for both windage and elevation, and is an excellent upgrade for any 1911 or other pistol that is equipped with a Bo-Mar BMCS style rear sight dovetail. The rear sight body is Wire-EDM machined from 4140 Chrome Moly Steel that is then heat treated to a hardness of RC 38-40, ensuring tight part-to-part fit and long-lasting durability. Click-adjustments are positive and precise, allowing for reliable and consistent point of impact changes.

This Bo-Mar Rear Night Sight is equipped with a Rounded "Combat" Blade that is Partially Serrated for reduced glare, and is ideal for use on a duty or concealed carry pistol since it significantly reduces the potential for snagging during the draw stroke. Positioned on either side of the rear sight notch is a Trijicon self-luminous Green Tritium Dot for easier acquisition in low light conditions.

Good sight, lamps are not ...

Good sight, lamps are not as bright as some other manufacturers, but when paired with a Novak front sight, (which is brighter) it makes for quick front sight identification. Holds adjustment with full power .45 ACP loads and doesn't shift POI. The dovetail is ever so slightly smaller than the Bo-Mar, so it'll fit loose in an exsisting Bo-Mar dovetail cut. If you are building one up with a blade rear, there is a special dimensioned dovetail cutter that will tighten things up quite a bit. Highly recommend the special cutter if possible. I needed a .225" high front sight on my Colt to get centered on target at 25yds. Probably could have done it with a .200 or even a .190, but would have been close. Colt S80 comes with .180 front sights and many others run .170 font sights so keep that in mind when you are looking at this or other sights. It may leave you shooting high unless your front sight is tall enough.
