Junk. Do not waste your time and money. Not formed right.Tried to bend tab to straighten and it snapped. Buy a GI piece.

After reading reports of ...

After reading reports of these clips snapping in half, I ordered 2, and prepared myself to be extra careful when installing. Despite my best efforts to be careful both snapped in half with only minimal expansion. In looking at them, they *don't* appear to be made from high quality spring steel. Ended up removing and re-mounting the original stock clip.

This clip is not made of spring steel. I opened it with my handguard clip pliers and it stayed open, it didn't return to its original shape when released. I had to try to bend it closed after it was on the handguard. I bought a mil-spec one instead.

I ordered the spring ...

I ordered the spring along with a new Boyd's complete stock kit. When I attempted to install the spring, it broke the moment I started to flex it open. Like the others have said, don't spend your cash on this. It's much too brittle to be useful.

This part was completely useless to me. It was apparently too brittle and one "ear" snapped off when I tried to install it on a handguard using the Baker handguard tool.

Used the handguard clip pliers and the clip broke in two pieces, too brittle to be usable. Don't waste your money on this one, it will not work.
