The Hornady Lock-N-Load Powder Measure Handgun Rotor and Metering Assembly is perfect for the reloader using their Lock-N-Load Powder Measure to meter precise charges for handgun or small capacity rifle cartridges. This assembly comes with the handgun rotor and metering assembly. For even greater precision you can use the optional handgun micrometer with the handgun rotor (product# 615-914).

I read some earlier reviews and they were right. I took some time wondering whether to order this product or not, but now I am glad I did. This rotor and meter work awesome. Once you get it set, it stays dead on, even though I check it frequently, it stays dead on. Thanks guys for the reviews. WG

An absolutely "must-have" ...

An absolutely "must-have" accessory for loading handgun ammo with "flake" powders. After installing this rotor, my velocity standard deviations on 38 Spl mid-range loads w/Unique were cut in half!

I bought this to go with ...

I bought this to go with my L-N-L AP and it works perfectly when loading handgun rounds with the powder mesure. I use several different powders from Titegroup to H110, Universial, Clays, Ect. Depending on the caliber I am loading for some take very small charges and other quite large chrages of powder but to date once i get my measure set up it throws consistent charges every time with the handgun rotor. Now if I could just get the same results with the Rifle Rotor and stick powder.

I would consider this product as a must have if you plan to load handgun rounds with a Hornady powder measure. My Hornady measure was very consistent with heavier charges, but was somewhat inconsistent with light charges, especially with flake powders. The handgun rotor and metering assembly, along with a baffle, made a huge improvement in light charge consistency for me. My measure, with the appropriate rotor and meter, now consistently throws charges within plus or minus .1gr. of the intended charge weight.

It came neatly and ...

It came neatly and carefully packed in the box. Nice instruction but not needed for anyone who would be using this sort of thing. The cute little insert that comes with this rotor makes is an exceptional buy. It measured almost .003" smaller in diameter than the one I took out but looks like it didnt matter one darn bit. I filled it up with some fine Ramshot Enforcer ball powder. Since it was dead nuts on I decided to leave it there and crank some more out. I got 5 more that could not be any closer to the weight of the first one! I am sure it will do smaller if there was a reason. Very fine tool to have for not only pistol use but for extreme small calibers Like the 17 CCM. The metering insert that comes with it is not available separately yet although a micrometer insert is. I am looking forward to seeing the standard insert as I need a minimum of 2 more.

This product is amazing. ...

This product is amazing. It attached very easily to the powder measure I already had. After setting it up to drop the amount I wanted, I stayed there very consistently. I am using this now for my .45 ACP and am using clays, a flake type power. Despite the shape of the powder I was putting through it, it was still very consistent. When I first set it up I put powder into 10 cases and measured everyone and they all measured exactly the same. I then measured every other case once I got going and the number stayed the same all throughout. The biggest variance that I noticed was maybe .05 grains but that could be due to the scale I am using to measure it. I cannot comment on durability just yet but I have no reason to doubt that it won't last a very long time. I strongly suggest this to anyone using very small charges of powder.
