Information about the Projectile:

This ammunition is loaded with a bimetal bullet. Bimetal bullets feature a jacket consisting of alternating sheets of copper and steel, then pressed together. The heat generated from the pressure fuses the sheets of copper and steel together forming a new alloy called bimetal.

I have been shooting Wolf ammo for some time in my SS Ruger Mini 30. Of the three loads available (123 gn FMJ, 122 gn HP, and 154 gn. SP), I have had my best results with the 122 gn HP. With the 3x9x42 Simmons scope, this loading consistently produces 3 inch groups at 100 yards. The 123 gn FMJ and 154 gn SP ammo will not group tighter than 3 1/2 inches at 100 yards. I was going to use the 154 gn SP ammo for deer hunting, the 122 gn HP for varmits, and the 123 gn FMJ for plinking. While scouting coyotes I took a nice 6 point buck last year with the 122 gn HP ammo, a one shot kill at 90 yards. The bullet penetrated fully, leaving an exit hole the size of a nickle. I do not think I would choose the 154 gn SP now. In over 1500 rounds of Wolf 7.62x39 ammo I have had five rounds fail to fire (apparent dead primers), with no failures to feed or eject in my rifle as long as good magazines were used (read that as Ruger or Pro Mag). Wolf ammo leaves a bit more fouling than common American ammunition, but is easy to clean up with a good nitro powder solvent. Good luck and good shooting.

A warning...if you own a Ruger Mini30 do not buy this ammo. It shoots great in my Yugo AK, but in a Mini30 you will get 40% (or so) unfired. I read many reviews of the 30s and the firing pin will just dent the primers of this ammo. I bought a new Mini30, had the misfire problem and sent it back to the factory...it came back with the same problem. Ruger will tell you that their carbine is made to fire American, not import. Apparently the primers are too hard on the Russian ammo. I also found out there is no warranty on the Ruger's, and their factory will tell you not to fire foreign. So, if you want to fire ammo that is cheaper then reloading it, do not buy a Mini30. My Yugo AK fired all the misfires from my Mini30 with no problems. I thought semiautos were made to fire all ammo, but apparently Ruger doesnt feel the same. This ammo in my AK is the absolute best for the money though.

The ammo is very inaccurate and the hollow point likes to get caught causing a jam as opposed to the regular, I will never buy this ammo againI suggest staying away from hollow points in the sks, at least in the yugo

I have a WASR 10/63 and have shot wolf through it from the start. I have no complaints with this ammo- sure it's a little dirty but I shoot it out of an AK platform so what do I care? Great value for what I get.

My SKS loves the Wolf Hollow point ammo. Groups were much tighter than the more expensive brass cased ammo I was testing. It ran through my rifle flawlessly.

Excellent ammo for the ...

Excellent ammo for the price. Non-reloadability is the only down side. For you ruger shooters out there, the Russian and American bullet diameters are slightly different. Russian 6.72 is slightly larger (.311" vs. .308"), making for possible unreliability and jams in the tight tolerance American guns; however the Russian guns will eat right through NATO spec ammo. Make sure to carefully review the specifics of whichever ammo you are getting.

I sighted in my 580 ...

I sighted in my 580 series Mini-30 today with the Winchester 123 SP. Shot great! I had also brought along some of these Wolf 122gr HP to plink with. They WILL NOT FIRE in a mini 30. One out of three will fire. The others will have a good hit on the primer but no action. I can place them back in the chamber and try to re fire the rounds, about half of those will go off. Don't even bother if you have a Mini-30.

I have used wolf ammo of all weights in mini-30 and my SKS. Have not had any that failed to fire. The answer to having a failure is keeping the gun clean, including the bolt, firing pin and spring.

Inexpenise plinking ammo, ...

Inexpenise plinking ammo, out of 500 rounds I had 22 duds that would not fire even after multiple primer strikes. Accuracy in mini 30 6-10" 100 yard groups. In CZ527 bolt action carbine about five inch groups. Factory Winchester will shoot 1.5-2" groups out of the CZ and about four to five inches out of the Mini 30. The wolf ammo is fair plinking ammo but would not recommend for hunting or serious use.

Good plinking ammo. Burns ...

Good plinking ammo. Burns clean and is quite accurate in my SKS. No jams or misfires. The hollow point doesn't expand though. (tested them on water jugs and got a clean, caliber-size hole on both sides.) Great value for the price.

This ammunition is the BEST I've put through my Avtomat Kalashnikova-47 (AK-47). 600 some odd rounds and not a SINGLE jam or dud. Price is great for 1000 rounds. What other brand offers that. I use my AK for home defense and at the range and this round is perfect for both. Haven't had a chance to see the accuracy at 100+ yards because I currently am only using the iron sights. Plain and simple you need to try this round. You WILL be satisfied.

This stuff is great. I've shot about 3000 rounds of it through my Romanian SAR 1 and not a single problem no jams no feed problems nothing. It is as most wolf ammo is a bit dirty but well worth it.
