The Microstream offers good illumination capability in an unobtrusive package no larger than a ballpoint pen, which means it can always be on your person when you need a light source. Features include a 1/2 watt LED bulb that produces 28 lumens of clear white light, an unbreakable polycarbonate lens, aircraft aluminum body, O-ring seal, tailcap activation switch, pocket clip, keyring and lanyard. Requires 1 AAA battery (included). Lifetime factory warranty. Length: 3.5". Weight: 1.04 oz. Runtime: 1.5 hrs.

Pretty darn bright minilight

This light has just the perfect lumens for everything under the bed, under a carseat, in a drain hole, and etc. It's small enough to use inbetween fingers and points well. My only criticism is the rear on/off button which fell off a few times. I just left it off.

Excellent. Took it camping and it was the one I always had hanging on a lanyard around my neck. Nice bright beam from only a single AAA Energizer battery. It is very compact. Does't cut the night like my Surefires with two 123 batteries but it is smaller than my pinky finger. Comes with a lanyard, extra rubber tail end on/off button and a clip that you can attach it to your cap if needed like a headlight. My boys liked it so much I ordered more. At less than $20 you cannot beat it.

I've carried the Streamlight MicroStream as my EDC pocket flashlight for almost three years, and it has never failed me. It is rugged, and believe me I have abused it. The beam is bright, and the single AAA battery is a snap to change out. The finish has started to wear in spots, but I actually throw my keys in the same pocket, so I would expect that to happen. I just bought a second MicroStream, not to replace my everday carry light, but for my wife to have in her purse.

I just got this flash and was blown away with the quality and attention to detail. It is rugged and has that "quality" feel even in the switch. It is clear that this should last a long time.It doesn't appear anything like those $3 and $4 junk lights you find at other retailers that you hope will operate the first few times.This is going in my primary first aid kit and in my BOB.Based on other reviews at a variety of sites I understand the single triple A battery won't last long - but that won't be a problem for my purposes. AAA are generally available and relatively cheap.One added feature not obvious from the ad or the picture is that the construction detail on the pocket clip also allows it to be attached to the bill of a baseball cap so you can use it hands-free.

Very bright for a pocket ...

Very bright for a pocket light, about the size of chapstick, takes 1xAAA. I beat the snot out of my light, and it was left outside in the rain for a few days, the light did work for 4-6 months after then died all together, I was expecting to get a letter back from StreamLight saying I voided my warranty due to abuse, which was not far from the truth whatsoever, however, StreamLight customer service sent me a light no questions asked. Great product, and fantastic customer service. I'm an email guy, and SL CS replied promptly. A great product, thanks Midway.

The small diameter is very useful in the corner of your front jean pocket for everyday carry on the opposite hip to your tactical folder. Nice that is uses the common, low cost, AAA battery even if it does not last as long as my former 'torch' with the 123 battery.

This is a great little flaslight! Unlike other pocket-size lights, this one runs on readily-available AAA batteries, so you don't have to buy overpriced, short-lived LR-44 watch batteries.The exterior body of the flashlight is nicely machined and anodized. The inside did have some flaking of the finish in the threaded joint that seals the battery compartment, but nothing serious.The light output is pretty good for such a small light; the tradeoff for the unusually bright light is short runtime: just 1.5 hours.The tailcap switch feels good and offers a nice momentary action, or press harder for a click-on/click-off feature.The lanyard that comes with the light is nice, but you probably won't need it - the pocket (or waistband) clip is very sturdy and works well.
