I have used this ...

I have used this flashlight for two hunting seasons and absolutely love it. The three power settings come in handy. I use the high power for walking through the field or the woods when it's dark and I use the low setting when getting set up in the tree stand. Batteries last for a long time. Left it on by accident in my back pack and it was still glowing the next day.

This marks my third year using the Streamlight SEPTOR headlamp. I love it! It's worth every penny I paid for it. I use mine walking to and from my stands in the darkness to prevent someone from mistaking me for a deer, and to free up my hands for other tasks in the dark. The beam is very wide, so it doesn't make a good distance/spot light, but it illuminates the immediate area just fine. Most of the time all I use is 1 LED, and battery life is very impressive. If you ever find that 1 or 3 LED's just wont cut it anymore, then it's probably time for a new set of batteries. I also own a Magcharger, a Porter-Cable Model 881 19.2 volt, a Streamlight Stinger, a Streamlight 3C PROPOLYMER LED, and several other no-name brand LED lights, and if I had to choose just one light to take with me when I deer hunt, it would be the Streamlight Septor.

Both my son and I ...

Both my son and I purchased the Streamlight Septor this summer in anticipation of hunting season this fall here in Texas. Little did we know that when we purchased them that we would be using them in September. Hurricane Ike blew through on September 13 knocking out the power for 80 hours. (The Woodlands is 30 miles north of Houston.) We experienced 100 mph wind and 15+ inches of rain. These little lights were invaluable in getting around in the dark. I was able to use it to set up and start my generator and my wife used it to prepare and cook on our propane grill.Next to our generator, they were the most practical and valuable items we had.

I bought a set for our ...

I bought a set for our entire team to use in the field. In SINGLE LED mode, it is MUCH brighter than the 8-LED flashlights you can find in hardware stores.With all 7 LEDs on, the Septor is extremely bright. The headlamp is very useful in low-light areas like your attic, garage, basement, and anywhere that does not have lighting or it would be difficult to route proper lighting.The Septor carries a lifetime warranty from Streamlight.
