I reload 45 ACP ammo for several auto pistols and Ruger revolvers. This cartridge gage solves die setting, bullet seating, and crimping problems before hundreds of defective rounds leave the reloading bench and are then later discovered at the firing range. This is an essential tool for reloading 45 ACP and will eliminate much frustration.

This case gage is a great ...

This case gage is a great aid in reloading 45 ACP, and it works wonders for quickly diagnosing problems with case dimensions...etc. But I was a little disappointed by how quickly it got surface rust, after the first day of use it rusted up from my finger prints. Cleaned it up with some CLP and wrapped it in electrician's tape, now it's fine. But it's something they could improve on.

These Wilson gauges are exceptional! If my reloaded cartridge fits the gauge, it will chamber perfectly every time. No more FTF's!! I simply adjust my seat/crimp die, load the first one, and check it in this die. I load a few more and check again. If it drops into and out of the die, I can be assured it will feed and fire!! If you shoot and reload for semi automatic pistols, you need one of these in every caliber you reload. I have one in 45 ACP and 40 S&W. I strongly recommend!

Quick and easy to use, lets you check almost any dimension of the cartridge to be within standard without much effort or time wasted. Great tool to weed out the one or two bad rounds that may have found their way off the press in a batch. Definitely buying them for everything I load in bulk.

This tool works great. Unlike some that give the minimum dimensions, the Wilson gives the max. This is far more useful to me loading the 45acp. The Dillon was rejecting far too many rounds that fit my barrel.

I used to have some feeding problems until, I purchased this gage actually one for my 9mm, .40S&W and .45ACP now have few problems. This go no go gage tool will help you set up your dies properly for good cycling of your rounds. Truly a reloaders friend and very reasonable price.

I recently started reloading and my brother-in-law recommended this gage. I worked at adjusting the bullet seating / crimping die in my new press until the cartridge slipped smoothly into this gage. That's when I knew I had the adjustments just right. I've never yet had a failure to feed (or a failure of any kind) with my reloaded .45 ACP ammo. Whenever I start reloading some cartridges I use this gage to check the first round and then every third or fourth as I go. I appreciate the confidence I get from having my rounds slip smoothly into and out of this gage, knowing they'll do the same in my pistol's chamber.
