Install went smoothly, though detailed instructions would have been helpful as I am not particularly intuitive when it comes to modifying my guns. I did try the 'spring fix' noted in earlier reviews but the stock spring was not strong enough to push out the last couple of rounds. The spring that came with the extension seems to work just fine...

The tube itself, follower, and clamp are excellent but the spring is WORTHLESS. 1.) The spring comes packaged so tightly that it has to be folded back on itself quite a few times. It's not in a circular pattern like the picture shows. When you get it unraveled, the spring is so bent and crimped that it binds in the tube regardless of whether or not you use the factory or supplied follower. No amount of polishing the tube will fix this. 2.) The spring is WAY too long. If by some chance you're able to get it not to bind, there's too much pressure on the rounds and they won't feed properly. I would not recommend the use of the spring at all, especially if you're using this on a home defense gun. I used the factory Mossberg 930 spring and it seems to work fairly well but ordered a spring for a 20" barrel Mossberg 590 since the original spring will more than likely start to lose tension faster than normal under regular use.

The tube installs easily but as said earlier the spring is too powerful. It is so strong that the forward shell stop can't move out of the way to let the first round with a full mag pop out into the elevator cavity. I used the stock spring and it works fine although I'm concerned that if I keep the mag loaded ready in the closet that it may eventually become too weak to push the last round or two out. Tonight I'll take the Choate spring and start cutting it down until it reliably releases the first round and see if it is stronger than the stock spring with the last. I gave it 3 stars because in general it is a good product but I shouldn't have to mess with the spring. I would have paid a little more for one with the spring specifically engineered for the Mossberg 930.

Maybe this will help others... I had feeding problems as well, Moss 930. Do not use the spring that comes with it (you could try cutting it, but as it comes way too long and powerful), take your stock spring and flip it (tight coils out), use the follower that comes with the tube. That should fix any feeding problems.

No problem installing. But can't get proper feeding of rounds 100% of the time. Sometimes it will feed rounds then it fails to feed rounds. Tried all types of ammo and no change.
