Not for dovetail sights like on Kimber's

Read the product description carefully. This is for "tenon style sights" and not "dovetail" like Kimbers. So you can't use it to drift a front sight.
I didn't note this before I ordered so I have to return it.

Overall quality of tool looks good and very well built. Just won't work on any of my Kimber front sights. So I'll give it 5 stars as I'm sure it would of workd fine otherwise.

Also did anyone else's come wrapped in a ziplock sandwhich baggie? LOL don't know if mine was a return or if it came like that in the first place.

Two things I didn't like was the absense of any contact information for the manufacture other than a street address stamped on the tool and the instructions. Its 2012 and email is free.
Also the instructions are handwritten with hand drawn illustrations that may be hard for others to make sense of.

But neither of those gripes impact the performance of the tool so I think it still deserves the rating.

I used it to stake on a Fusion front sight on my Springfield Micro GI, worked really well, easy to use and after 500+ rounds my front sight is rock solid. Excellent product

Sight removal was easy. Installation was a little harder...knowing how much pressure to apply takes "practice". Instructions were not real clear to me and I didn't find a parts list with the tool. Overall, a good value. It worked OK...for the price.

Well worth the price, made the job a breeze. Just follow instructions, works like a champ! Pay attention to the dimension suggestions. Works with Tritium sights too (use the dis-assembly "slot").

This is a well built tool. It was easy for me to follow the instructions and remove the old sight. Instructions for installing the new sight were clear and installation was fast and easy. Hand staking of front sights used to be a real pain for me, this makes it fast and painless. If you have 1 or 1000 to do this is worth the time and money. Also the tool did not damage the old sight it is still usable!

This tool makes it a breeze to install and remove GI type front sights on 1911s. It flares out the sight tang better than any factory job I've seen.

This tool made changing the front sight easier than the rear. Had sight changed out in about 10 min. with cleanup of the tenon hole. Very simple to use and did not scratch the finish on my gun.
