Varmints and predators beware! Nosler's ballistic Tip Varmint Bullets are designed for violent expansion upon impact. The bullet is tipped with a polycarbonate tip which rapidly drives back forcing the thin jacket to expand and fragment. The heavy base prevents deformation during firing and the boat-tail design increases the ballistic efficiency of the bullet. This is not loaded ammunition.

As I mentioned before, ...

As I mentioned before, the accuracy of these are superb. I'm shooting these behind 27.8g Benchmark out of a Savage 12 .223 at about 3800+ ft/sec and I just tagged a garden munching critter. The main mangled part of the rabbit landed 3 feet from where it started with other "parts" falling randomly in a 6 foot debris area!

Just got done trying out ...

Just got done trying out 8 different bullets in my .223 Savage BTCSS and these tied the Berger 64 g for 1st place with a 5 shot group of 0.32 with Benchmark powder. The powder load was almost max and the Savage has a 1:9 twist 26" barrel so they must have been smoking. There was no problem with the bullets staying together.

Great Product, I have a ...

Great Product, I have a Remington SPS 22-250 I have worked up several different loads. With several different bullet weights. The best load I worked up was with an IMR 4895 with a Sierra 55gr. hollow point . Until I got to reading about a new powder that Hodgdon had come out with CFE223. I finally acquired a couple of pounds of it and these 40gr Nosler's .I started with the minimum powder charge working up slowly. I was able to shoot 5 shot, one hole groups. By the way My rifle is 1-14 Twist. Very picky rifle. If you haven't tried this new powder I would recommend you try it.

I have a Remington 700 sp ...

I have a Remington 700 sp varmint w/26" bull barrel, and this bullet combined with a stout load of Varget gives amazing results. At 100 yards, I make a cloverleaf hole, well under 1/4 inch, and at 200, I consistently shoot 1/2 inch, with my best so far (only had this rifle for 2 weeks) being 0.428" CTC @ 200 yards. I have yet to play with seating depth to achieve best accuracy, though it may not be needed. Sighted in half inch high at 100, its a half inch high still at 200, at 300, I still aim right on, and dont notice any drop till 350+. imp shooting these around 4,100 fps according to the data, possibly more, I have yet to chronograph it. With our heavy winds, I expected more wind drift from these light bullets, but with a full value wind at 15 mph, at 325-360 yards I only aimed about 1-2 inches off of a standing prairie dogs chest and effectively dispatch them. My farthest 1 shot 1 kill so far was 443 yards, determined with a rangefinder, holding 1-1.5" over his head, while the p-dog was standing. I have tried the 40 grain Sierra hollow point varmint, and these bullets blow up much better, and give better accuracy in my particular rifle.

These are excellent ...

These are excellent bullets in a Ruger 77/22 K Hornet, used mainly on ground squirrels. The rounds must be single loaded directly into the chamber as they will not fit in the rotary magazine, due to the much longer overall length. The flatter trajectory is worth the trade off, and the terminal performance out to 175 yards is similar to larger capacity .22 varmint calibers. These bullets loaded with Lil Gun powder, upgrade the Hornet to surprising performance far above what you would expect from an such a tiny, old cartridge.

I have a Model 700 VS SF ...

I have a Model 700 VS SF II. It ships with a 1-in-12 twist barrel, and was having trouble grouping 50gr+ bullets (before these, my best was 1" at 100yds with a Sierra MatchKing 52gr). I shot the Nosler 40gr varmint bullets yesterday with a 1 hole group of 5 shots with a .5" spread at 100 yards, light wind. I used Win 748 in both loads, metered by a Dillon 650, seated with a Redding micrometer seating die in an RCBS rock-chucker. I'm buying these in bulk now!

Great bullet. I use these ...

Great bullet. I use these in a Hornet Handi and have found them to be very accurate and hard hitting over a moderate charge of 2400. I harvested a nice old doe in Nov. with one shot at nearly 120 yds. The bullet completely passed through both lungs and the deer fell dead in less than 15 yds.

I use these in my Ruger ...

I use these in my Ruger 77/22 Hornet varmint rifle with carefully crafted handloads. Can easily achieve over 3000 FPS with top handloads. Excellent accuracy with complete bullet upset on varmints up to the size of coyotes. Try Lilgun powder, Winchester brass (neck sized only) with CCI 400 primers. Have taken several coyotes with this load, all one shot kills. Nosler always makes top of the line products.

I loaded these in front ...

I loaded these in front of a max load of Benchmark powder in my Ruger M77 Hawkeye in 223 Remington. I was impressed! This gun is picky about ammo, but it shot this load into an inch or less every single time. Hits on prairie dogs out to 400 yards were honestly pretty easy and at my longest kill of 383 yards the poor little bugger just exploded. I would never have believed you could get the same "pop" factor from a 223 as from a 22-250 but with these bullets you can.

Great bullet. I'm using ...

Great bullet. I'm using it in a Weatherby Vanguard with only the 24 inch sporter barrel in a .223 Remington. Round is loaded with AA 2230, Hornady pre-shot and neck sized brass, and Remington Bench Rest primers. I'm getting at maximum a .26 inch group at 100 yards. The performance of the bullet is unmatched. I experimented with the Hornady 40 grain V-Max and the Sierra Blitz king. The V-Max fell about an inch lower at 200 yards and the Sierra fell about 1.5 inches lower at 200 yards. The bullet is consistent coming out of the box with about .1 grains left or right of 40 grains meaning I have to do very little sorting. With all the data in mind, this is a devastating bullet. This morning I went prairie rat hunting. I got a couple at 200 and 300 yards. Ka-blowy! I checked the damage to one I shot at 100 yards and it was a shredded ordeal. I would like to get the chance to use this on coyotes come this fall and next early spring, but I'm guessing this is going to be a good round. The bullet is on the pricey side, but I'm not complaining nor would I go with another bullet. Highly recommend!
