The RCBS High Capacity Case Trimmer was designed for trimming big bore calibers. It features the same quality construction found in all RCBS products. This kit comes shipped with one collet and three caliber specific pilots that will fit the cartridges listed below.

Bought this case trimmer ...

Bought this case trimmer as a result of an inquiry to RCBS regarding a Trim Pro-2 shellholder for the 450/400 NE 3". RCBS techs said that this case trimmer was required for the 450/400 NE 3" and it does work. However, it is overkill and a step backwards, and because of its length, fingers are bound to be pinched. The 450/400 NE 3" case will easily fit in a Trim Pro-2, all that's needed is the correct shellholder which I later researched and found an alternative.

One of the most simple ...

One of the most simple trimmers you can use. Set the case OAL and you are ready to go. I reload Barret .416 and this case trimmer has plenty of room for large brass. The extra collets the kit includes are nice as well. Easy set up, easy to use, good quality. If you reload 338, 416 or 50BMG you need this. Rapidly trims stretched out brass back to the appropriate COAL. And this trimmer locks down your settings with 8 Allen set screws. 4 on the bullet holder and 4 on the cutter. DOES NOT MOVE AFTER YOU SET IT. The only improvement I think needs to happen is more throw length on the cutter and spin handle. This would allow easier load and unload of the brass. Just a minor complaint. Still gets a 5 in my book.

If you like the old style ...

If you like the old style RCBS case trimmer you like this one. I would have preferred it with the plate and not the collet system. It works great but not as user friendly as new RCBS case trimmers.
