The Lee Breech Lock Challenger Press is a great press that is full of features. Some of these features include a the breech lock quick change die system that holds dies in inserts that allow the reloader to quickly remove them from the press, a steel ram and operating linkage, a very strong "O" frame that is larger than the average press opening giving reloaders maximum hand clearance. When depriming with the Breech Lock Challenger Press spent primers are sent directly into the trash can helping to keep reloading areas nice and clean. The press comes with the Lee Lever Prime System allowing primer seating to be done with the reloading press.

This is a press I use for my 416 Rigby and 8mm Rem Mag cases. A lot better than the old Challenger press in its larger clearance / stroke and the use of all steel links. Good for long cartridges (black powder calibers) and less danger of breaking the links. Primer disposal is very nice as you can route the decapped primers direct to your trashcan. The new featured breechlock is similar to Hornady LNL system and provides convenience especially if you load several calibers. The only downside I feel is that the frame is aluminum which should be steel to allow the press to stand up to full length sizing. Nothwitstanding this, I like the press and is a huge, huge improvement over the old challenger press. I'll be getting the Lee priming system designed for this new press and hope it works well. This is a good upgrade of an old Lee product IMO.

DO NOT BUY A LEE PRESS!!!!I purchased a Lee reloading kit with lee press for a friend of mine 4 years ago to get him started in reloading. This year the aluminum handle links broke after reloading less than 700 rounds. I contacted Lee Precision to get the replacement linkage. To my surprise they said the press was discontinued. They did not have any aluminum replacement parts left. They did however make replacement parts for this press in steel. Calling it an upgrade to the original parts they wanted to charge me for the parts. The other offer was to buy a breech lock press at a discount price. It seems the lifetime guarantee on Lee items is only good as long as they still manufacture the item from original metals. Even when they make replacement parts for discontinued items they call the parts upgrades and expect payment for them. I expected more from Lee Precision. Don't waste your money on a company that will not back their product. I have switched to a RCBS cast iron press. Much heavier and built to last. My Lee press is now scrap.

Great press. Used with quick change bushings is amazing. Great product great price, typical Lee equipment. Only complaint is 70% of the spent primers do not make it in the tube.

I have been using the single stage Lee Reloader presses for years. This was an upgrade for me to be able to Full Length re-size 300 Win Mag which this press does with very little effort. This press is very sturdy and I do not notice any "wobble" in the press ram or link rods. The press also catches all of my sent primers and will store them in a drop tube for disposal or drop them directly in a trash can below the press. The last feature that I have used is the priming system built into this press and it worked as well as any of the other ones that I have used in the past. For the price I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I don't think spending more money for a different press would improve the quality of my reloads.

WOW. I am so pleasantly surprised at the bang for the buck this press offers. Super easy to set up. Nice solid construction. I was completely overtaken with the quick change bushings. I had my 7mm Mag, 7mm-08, and .35 Rem. dies set up for quick change in less than 30 minutes. Reloaded rounds for all 3 this afternoon and the tolerances were met. Super nice rig, in my opinion.

ok I can't give it 5 stars because the breechlock is junk. To use this feature you have to use a set of pliers to remove it thus marring your press etc. So I left the bushing in and the press works great. it does get a bit shaky on large .308 or above caliber rifle rounds. but I load mostly .380,9mm,357 and 45 acp and it works awesome for those rounds. The primer dispensing is great as well. no more clogging or having to clean out spent primers... right to the trash can. Awesome press. I replaced a rock chucker with this and to say the least I like it much better than the rock chucker. One thing on set up, this press works better if turned at an angle when mounted. Allows one to see everything going on.

Comes in a small box with some assembly required, nothing hard to assemble. Good, smooth, press. The only thing I would like to change on it, is to add grease fittings on the ram, to help it last longer. For the price, it is a nice starter press.

Lee products have always been exceptional. I bought this press because my Foster's single stage design doesn't lend itself to pulling bullets with a collet puller handle on top instead of bottom. My only complaint is the location of the right mounting position. It is at the very front of the press and for my tables, that hole just was too far forward. Not the presses fault, just my particular tables. As with all presses, you need to take a hard look at where you will be mounting this or any other press. I still think its a fantastic product and great value.
