This is my favorite ...

This is my favorite general purpose day pack for days out scouting for new hunting or fishing places, predator calling, varmint shooting, and so on. I choose it to carry semi bulky things like clothing, I don't choose it if I have a lot of weight to carry. The lack of a waistband means it doesn't interfere with carrying a handgun in a hip holster, a real plus.

I wasn't familiar with the brand or the product, so I did some research. The Badlands brand is quickly becoming the high quality recommendation from Cabela's and Midway. I have been looking for a solid day pack for use from Michigan to Colorado, since I almost lost my Leopold Range finder in the Rocky Mts. The Badlands Pursuit model is a good size and will expand if needed. The shoulder straps are padded well enough so they will not cut in under your arms. There is also a front strap which connects the two shoulder straps over your chest, so you don't need to constantly re-adjust. The zippers are solid and won't spring open under stress/pressure. There is a back pad that runs the full length and width of the pack so you won't be bothered by the content poking you as you walk. I'm not one for the camel-back water system, since I don't hunt in Iran and it seems to be a marketing ploy rather than a need. However, if you do like the system, a bag can be integrated into the pack. The material is solid, but soft and quiet for walking and tree hunting. It's a very good pack overall and you should be pleased with the purchase.
