Great little scope, ...

Great little scope, surprisingly good glass. Held true for over 400 rounds so far. Definite recommend. The supplied sun shade is a nice touch. 4 stars only due to a factory adjustment knob permanently/purposefully affixed to the bottom left of the scope made it hard for appropriately measured rings to allow the scope to fit flush. I used a bench grinder to make about a 3/16th inch of clearance and it was fine after that. That piece was so in the way, I wasn't able to level the scope. Good to go now, and I am very happy with it! Could have just gotten taller rings (high vs. med) and no grinding would have been necessary

This is my third review for this scope. Originally bought it back in June 2009 and it was junk. Finally sent it back to BSA in November 2010 and they replaced it. 3000 or so rounds later I am still very pleased with the replacement. Also am well pleased with the customer service at BSA. Have it on a Remington 22lr VTR and it has worked flawlessly. Still haven't found any ammo that matches the drop listed on the turrets within 5 clicks and wish BSA would have included standard 1/4 click marks. I am amazed the glass is as good as it is, especially on the higher powers.

After my first day at the range with my new BSA 6-18x40SP on a stock Ruger 10/22, I'm tickled pink! Very nice optics, easy reset turrets and, most importantly, very accurate. I'm extremely pleased with this scope on its first outing. If I had a complaint it would be clearer markers on the turret housing to better see the setting on the 36g line. MidwayUSA got it shipped out very fast!

I put this scope on my Ruger 10/22 that I use competition. It is great. I shoot Silhouette and need to change distance often. This scope is perfect.

Guess I got a bad scope the first time. Finally sent it back to BSA and they sent me a new scope. This one is a winner in all departments. Couldn't be more pleased. Would have rated it 5 stars if I hadn't got the bad one to start with.

Bought scope for my 10/22 and for the price and features it works very well. Optics are not that great - noticeable at 18x. I've been shooting Fiocchi & Aguila Super extra - 38 plated of ammo (approx 1280 fps required for scope) and the scope is right on from 75 to 125+ yds. Shooting quarter size groups at 130 yards. Don't over tighten allen bolts on the knobs or they won't turn. It does what it says. I like it a lot and gave it 4 stars because of the optics.

Scope is correct size and ...

Scope is correct size and looks great on the 22's I have put it on. From here on it is all down hill. Have tried many different brands of ammo and never could find one that matches the yardage markers on the elevation turret. Closest was 9 clicks (over 2 inches) off. Also clicks are spongy like turrets are riding on rubber washers. Side focus knob is extremely hard to turn. Optics are poor and images blury at higher magnifications, especially for a $150 scope. This scope is now on one of my lesser used rifles. Don't buy it.

I bought this scope for my Frankenruger (customized 10/22) based on the features. Specifically the side focus and target knobs. I used medium height Leupold rings, and did have to trim away some material on the base to allow for a small knob, but not a problem at all. It took about 12 shots to get in the 10 ring at 100 yards after doing the laser bore sighting at home. I have been out several times target shooting and the range adjustments on the scope are right on the mark at 50, 75, 100, and 150 yards. This appears to be a solidly built product and is in the perfect price range for a 10/22 project - quality at a pretty good price.
