Product Information

The Streamlight Polytac LED Flashlight is a super tough impact resistant polymer flashlight. The nylon polymer body provides exceptional durability and is o-ring sealed at all openings for weather resistance. The C4 LED technology is impervious to shock and provides 120 lumens of illumination. With the tail cap push button switch, one handed operation is a snap. Lightweight, bright, and durable, the Polytac is a great light for a wide variety of applications.

This light is very bright @ 130 lumens it will light up your life. Rear mounted on-off button is easy to operate. Trust me, this is a good company if you have any problems with their products. I used one of their "smoke cutter" lights for many years as a firefighter and it never failed me. After years of recharging and hard use the battery needed to be replaced. I lived about thirty miles from the factory so I took it on over. They not only replaced it but cleaned and serviced it on the spot because I told them I needed it for work that night. I still have the same light today and use it in my shop.

Not suitable for use on hard recoiling guns as a weapon light. This light, while plenty bright, has an unfortunate tendency to turn on and off with each shot fired when mounted to a 12 gauge shotgun. The recoil appears to be activating some portion of the switching mechanism even though the tail switch is never touched. This can be replicated off of the gun fairly consistently by slamming the front of the light into a carpeted floor to simulate recoil. As a hand held light it works fine, and even after recoil on the gun and then slam testing into carpet, the light still works.

My wife and I each have one of these lights which we use as flashlights, not weapon mounted lights. The push for flash/on swich works great, exactly as it should, and the lights are very, very bright for size, weight and price. I was surprised when a retired cop friend (who swore by 3 D cell Maglights) told me this is the exact same light he carried for the last few years of his career. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed. We will buy a couple more for our vehicles.

Have one mounted on my AK ...

Have one mounted on my AK using a Viking mount. Has held up very well with 0 issues. Much prefer the tail cap compared to Surefires. Will be mounting one on my M4 as well.

I wanted to add a light ...

I wanted to add a light ot my Benelli M1 Super 90, so I ordered one of these, knowing I could at least for the price, use it as a normal light. It is installed on the Benelli, and another one will be here tomorrow!. I will probably replace 2 or 3 other tac lights with the Polytac, as it is brighter, cooler, and appears to have much longer battery life.

These are great little flashlights, you really can't beat them for the price. Super bright, fit the hand well, simplistic in design and function, and yellows easy to find in the dark.

Bought this flashlight ...

Bought this flashlight for work and around the shop. Really bright and stable design. Even brighter if you search out the Tenergy PTC 1500 mah CR123A cells. This light is the best bang for the buck for a 120 Lumens led light. Only Con that I can think of is if Streamlight would have added a illuminate button on the side. Rear button is a bit awkward but usable.

Great flashlight for the ...

Great flashlight for the price. VERY bright, will illuminate the tops of old, mature oak trees across the backyard with ease. Tail cap switch allows for on/off as well as intermittent - i.e. hold 1/2 way in to light, let go to turn off.Buy this, you won't regret it.
