Power Plus Mags are designed to significantly increase reliability and service life, even when kept fully-loaded for extended periods of time. This level of performance is made possible by holding tolerances 75% tighter than magazines made to military specifications and by using extra-stiff coils of aerospace grade wire that produce more power than other magazines. The base pad is removable for convenient cleaning and maintenance. Power Mag Plus magazines have a steel follower that run smoother and resist wear.

The Power Mag Plus has ...

The Power Mag Plus has addressed two issues of the regular 10 round Power Mag. First, it has a re-designed shell carrier that isn't suppose to contact the feed ramp as the last shells are fed. Second, some users of the earlier model complained that the rubber wouldn't fit the S&A Magwell without some grinding. I've used these "New +" mags in my Kimber Custom Tactical II without any issues. My frame is alloy and does have the S&A Magwell. I've found the shell carrier doesn't strike the feed ramp, and I didn't have to modify the rubber base pad at all. I'll be buying more of these!

I felt a little cheated with the purchase of this magazine. 1) It doesn't have enough spring tension to lock the slide back on the last shot, 2) It will occasionally jam, and thats shooting hardball ammunition through a Colt Commander.

I bought two, one for me and one for my brother. It works as smooth as butter in all six of his 1911's.
We did have to tweak it, just a little for the slide to catch when empty, in my Springfield. I've had to tweak a few things on my Springfield though. Every bullet has cycled through. It is nice and easy to load. Plus, it looks right in my 1911.

Purchased for a Colt Gold Cup Series 70 which functions flawlessly with various 7-round magazines. With this magazine it jams every time for the first three rounds - jams hard enough to recess the bullet in the case. While I was fiddling with it to see if it could be salvaged the entire follower sprung out the top of the magazine so it had to be dismantled and reassembled. Not something I would ever stake my life on.

Use it with my Springfield Armory for IPSC. Not a single problem, ever. I also quite like the Diplomat that I always found quite reliable. But McCormick and Ed Brown are the two best brands I own ( for my .45 ).

I just got 2 of these Power+ 10 Round Mags for my Sig 1911 Tacops Carry TB and put 450 rounds of all different types of 45acp ammo in about the space of 3 hours and not one hiccup! I am extremely pleased with how well they work right out of the box! I'll definitely be getting at least 2 more - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I bought two to try and then another two after a day of competitive shooting. They fit just fine in a Para SSP. This particular 1911 come with s factory 8 round. I also tried them out on a Marlin Camp 45. They work great with that rifle as well. I noticed they were quality made mags as soon as I opened the bag. They didn't disappoint. I was looking for a universal magazine for the Camp and 1911 and the Chip McCormick fit that need. The long bumper looked odd whenever I saw a picture but they look fine in a handgun and look exceptional in the carbine. On the Camp the mags look like they were designed for the rifle. I wouldn't be going out on a limb recommending these to steel shooters, the extra few bullets helps on tough courses.

I have 5 of these mags. I use them for USPSA competition. 2 work fine, but the other 3 lost tolerance over time and they do not drop free. I have to pull them out, which makes them useless for competition.
