Thompson Bullet Lube Company offers different formulas to meet the needs and requirements of every caster. These Alox-free bullet lubes are clean to work with, will not gum up collators, will stay in the groove during shipping and are not adversely affected by extreme temperature changes. All sticks are 1" x 4." A lube heater is required for the Blue and Red Angel lubes, but no heat source is needed for the Bear Cold and Heat Lubes.

The Thompson Blue Angel ...

The Thompson Blue Angel Lube worked excellent on .38 special, .357 Magnum, and .44 special loads. The lube does require approximately 45 minutes to reach an easy flow temperature. The lube left the barrel cleaner and produced less smoke then ammo equally loaded other lubes. I will continue to purchase Thompson Blue Angel for all my cast bullet lubrication needs.

Use this lube for 38, ...

Use this lube for 38, 44mag, and will be using it for 41mag, 45-70 and 45-120 does have a long warm up time but I live where it get to 130 + degress with temp in the summer not below 100 at night must be good hard to keep in stock.

I have not used this lube ...

I have not used this lube real extensively but it seems to have a couple of features of note which are worth mentioning. It has a very durable quality when fired through the gun based on the lube ring I have seen around the muzzles of the handguns I've used it in. It seems almost sticky in nature when shot though one does not get that impression when handling either the lube sticks or the bullets lubed with it. (This may be different in warmer climates - I can't say.) I do like it better than the harder waxes in terms of shooting performance and bullet storage as it tends to stay on bullets well. I use a bit of heat when sizing and lubing even with this lube- it isn't dead soft. I tend to think one is better off using the softest lube type that their storage and shooting conditions will allow. This is a good one for those parts of the country that are cooler.

Excellent lube, non ...

Excellent lube, non sticky and stays in the grove so you can just size/lube and toss in a box/jar without the necessity of stacking them like you have to do with beeswax/alox blends. it does require heat on the sizer (even though they claim otherwise) but you can use a hair drier (or heat gun) to warm the sizer and you can work for 45min before it cools off (Lyman 450).
