This is a great solvent, it's thin and flows good compared to the gel solvents. It works on copper as fast as any of the high grade copper removers, and powder fouling as well as any I have used. It does have a strong smell. 2 cleanings with a soaked patch removed all copper, it will also get brass jags, so the new nickel plated jags would be a great combo with this solvent I use this now for the gun range, and quick cleaning, I still use Wipeout for the soaking when I have plenty of time.

I used a lot of bore ...

I used a lot of bore cleaners. You name them with the exception of a few. Barnes CR-10 is like Sweets, so I haven't used it, but Sweets I have. The wife couldn't stand it, so I got rid of it. Used gunsmith remedies from a local gunsmith.... it works well but not like Tiptons. Hoppes #9 works very well but is very slow. Tiptons works very well and doesn't have that peircing odor like sweets or others. I run a patch through back and forth, and dry off with a rag while hanging out the muzzle. Apply more Tiptons, short stroke it, wipe off at muzzle, more short stroking, for about 20 minutes. I don't believe in wiping out barrel dry, and then starting fresh.

Excellent copper cleaner ...

Excellent copper cleaner and bore cleaner. Patches are blue if there is copper present in your bore. Just follow the instructions on the bottle. One of the better cleaners and easy to use.

I gotta say this stuff ...

I gotta say this stuff works great. I aquired a used 25-06 that the previous owner apparently didn't know what cleaning a rifle meant, he had fired lots of TSX bullets through the rifle and it was heavily copper fouled. After a week of cleaning with another copper solvent and still getting blue patches, I tried this stuff and it worked great!!! Two wet patches and two dry patches and it was clean!!!

Great stuff, I have been ...

Great stuff, I have been using it instead of my usual Butch's Bore Shine. Does have a strong odor, but I am unaware of any ammonia solvent that smells good. Would have given it 5 stars, but I think the price is a bit high for 5 oz.

This stuff has a strong ...

This stuff has a strong odor but not the power of Hoppes #9 when left to soak in the bore. It is not an instant cleaner yet, I wouldn't want to leave this in my bore for any period of time (over 1/2 hour). I wish they would bring back the old Tipton bore cleaner which was on par with Hoppes #9 and in my opinion in some ways better.

I've tried this solvent ...

I've tried this solvent several times on my .22 rifles, and have been very disappointed with it. It has very little effect on fouling. Kroil does an infinitely superior job than this stuff, and costs a heckuva lot less, too. Butch's Bore Shine works better as a copper solvent than this stuff. Don't know why anyone would bother to buy this product.

It cleans gunk out of my bores but I don't think it's all that Remarkable! I like Barnes CR-10 way better.
