Product Information

Ultramax ammunition represents serious quality for serious shooters. Since 1986 Ultramax has provided top of the line ammunition with a reputation for accuracy, round after round at an unequaled value. All Ultramax ammunition is loaded to SAAMI specs and a visual inspection is performed on every loaded cartridge before it leaves the building.

All Ultramax remanufactured ammunition goes through a 10-Step Quality Assurance System. Once fired brass is inspected for flaws and is washed to clear the primer pockets and flash holes from any debris. Ultramax sizes each piece of brass to the same SAAMI specs as new brass. Remanufactured ammunition is often loaded with mixed head stamped brass. This ammunition is non-corrosive in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

I purchased 250 rounds to ...

I purchased 250 rounds to fire through my new Savage 12FVSS and I am not disappointed in the rifle or this ammo. Accuracy on paper targets averaged 1.25" groups consistent at 100 YDs through first 100 rounds. Recently, on the second 100 shots, a number of same hole targets (2 in one hole and the third within 1") have been recorded once the rifle, the accutrigger and I became better acquainted. I hope to try them out on some coyotes in Ga. soon.

I use this as the primary ammo for my .223 AR. It shoots very well and has been perfectly reliable as well. Good round in either the 55gr hp or the poly tip.

Bought this excellent product. Only problem is that I only bought two 50 round boxes and shot them all already. Have to wait for my retirement check to come in to order more. No failure to feed or eject in five (5) different magazines out of my Bushmaster M-4. Excellent product, actually it is an OUTSTANDING product. Shot to 1 inch at 50 yards and about 1.5 inch at 100 yards.

In a pinch for Wyoming PD hunt so must augment handloads with reasonably priced, non FMJ, factory .223 ammo. The Ultramax 55 SP seemed the best value out of my Stag 6L. The results of today's bench testing are: 60 V-Max handloads-.37 MOA; Ultra 55SP-.68; Fiocchi 40VMax-.78; Fiocchi 55 SP-.66;Privi 69-1.33; Privi 55 SP-1.4
