Purchased two sights and ...

Purchased two sights and installed one a Ruger Mark 1 Target pistol and the other on a Browning Buck Mark Camper pistol. Both .22LR pistols are used for range shooting to 25 yards, both indoors and out. Mounting was a breeze. The optics zeroed easily for 25 yards. Windage and elevation directions are clear and correct. Zero has held on both pistols through several hundred rounds each. Lowest power setting on the rheostat serves well in both the dark indoor range and the shaded shooting position of the outdoor range where I shoot. The crosshairs and 5 MOA red dot are the two clearest and most useful reticle choices. The sights were a great solution to aging eyes and an increasing inability to clearly and/or tirelessly align stock open sights. Using the red dot and adjusting the aimpoint for 15 and 7 yards (aim high) I could effortlessly achieve tighter dead center groupings with half-second rapid fire that used to take me 2-5 seconds between shots with the open, adjustable sights.

I really liked this scope ...

I really liked this scope until I tried to replace the battery. The battery compartment is a part of the brightness/color selector knob. If the battery cover is tight (and mine was) it is extremely difficult to get a grip on the brightness/color selector to keep it from turning while trying to unscrew the battery cover. I finally managed to wedge the brightness/color selector in place and got the battery cap off and replaced the battery. Apparently the brightness/color selector switch was damaged in the process. The sight never worked properly after that. This is a very poor design for the battery compartment in my view.

Love everything about this sight especially for the price. Gave it a four because I'm not sure about the durability as compared to an EOtech. Only time will tell but no problems yet and at less than a 1/4 of the cost.

TRUGLOW Reflex, serious quality problems

Mounted it on a Ruger Mk III Hunter .22 cal pistol. Went to the range to sight in. It adjusted up quickly, BUT after about 50 rounds; the lens just fell completely out of the frame. You could see the really poor glue job around the edge of the frame. Will try one more, then most likely ask for a cash refund.

I have this sight mounted on my S&W Model 41. It is excellent for high or low light with all the size adjustments and the choice between green or red dot. The only issue I have is that it doesn't hold zero from one dot style to the next. The single dot is my preferred sight, so it is not changed, but it may matter to some.

I've been through two of these. Both broke.. Not a good value at all. I'll spend more for a brand name sight next time.

Midway put these on sale at Christmas, so I bought one. I put it on my Model 41 S&W. I held the gun up and the sight tilted about 10 degrees to the left - due to the poor machining and matching up of the mounting bracket. I paid too much for the pistol to have junk sitting on top of it...

I bought this optic for a dedicated AR15 upper in .22LR to get more live fire time without having to spend a small fortune. The biggest drawback is the 5 position rheostat that adjusts the illumination level to control the star burst effect. Position 2 is not enough illumination and 4 is too much. Unlike Goldilocks position 3 was not just right, but adequate depending upon external lighting. All the functions work as advertised. I think the Tasco Red Dot that I replaced was better due to the ability for fine controlling of the illumination. The windage and elevation adjustments were adequate as well. I purchased the optic at the sale price, which was reasonable. Given what I paid for it, this is definitely not an EOTECH. If you want EOTECH quality you will have to pay for it.

Should have believed the poor reviews. Bought one in December and it stopped working within 30 days. Midway was great accepting the return but I could have avoided the aggravation by believing the reviews. Apparently Tru Glo isn't into producing quality products. Do yourself a favor DON'T BUY THIS ITEM!!!!

Mounted this on a US M1 Carbine. Worked excellent through 1st 12-15 rounds, was tweaking azimuth and elevation to bring the reticle to target center at 50 yds. and was pleased with the accuracy of shot placement...when on the 15th round or so I fired, the reticle disappeared!? At first I thought battery or switch but then found the reticle buried beneath the field of view that I had! (just for grins I centered it on target to see how far it had jumped at 50 yds.. impact was about 5 feet over the target!)I readjusted the elevation up to approximately where it was supposed to be and fired another round.. it jumped again upward this time to probably where it started out initially.this behavior continued about every other round, jumping down, then back up again.In closing, I love the reticle and color selections, and the appearance as I sight down range, but this holosight should only be used on a very low recoil gun (.30 M1 Carbine doesn't have a lot of recoil mind you) so , maybe .22 at most?
