Used to protect the inside of the barrel while parkerizing, rust bluing, and spraying finishes. Contains an assortment of sizes to fit everything from .17 caliber to 8 gauge. These plugs will work at the muzzle or the breech end of a barrel as well as tubular magazines and pin holes.

I expected them to be a bit longer, but it does provide a pair for each caliber. Much easier than using dowel rods or shaving down rubber plugs. Seem to be very durable.

I use these plugs to keep a specific chemical from reaching other portions of my firearms when cleaning them. It's important to know which chemicals not to mix when restoring finishes/coatings/bluings, etc. Most of the time, I use these plugs to allow more saturation of a lead/copper remover overnight. So far they have sealed my bores without cleaner and preservative leakage/damage. They are soft enough to not damage the crown or the chambers of firearms. Use common-sense and the plugs will do the job without drips/leakage onto your work areas. The Lauer plugs work...less expensive than high-dollar electronic gun cleaners.
