Lee 2-Cavity Bullet Molds are a great choice for reloaders looking for a quality mold at an affordable price. Lee machines their mold blocks from aluminum making them rust resistant. Aluminum molds heat up and cool down faster than iron or steel molds and good bullets can usually be produced only after a few casts. In addition, aluminum blocks are one-third the weight of iron or steel mold blocks offering the bullet caster less fatigue during extended casting sessions. To ensure the best possible bullets, mold block halves are CNC machined for unmatched roundness and size control. Weights given are Lee's weights with suggested alloy; actual weight may vary due to the alloy mixture used.

I've been using this mould for about a year to make bullets for my 03A3. From straight wheelweights, I've been getting weights of ~183 gr, .3095" on the driving bands and .302" on the bore riding section. I load these to engrave in the rifling, and they shoot very good at 100 yards. I would have given the mould only 3 stars for difficulty of use as I have to beat the hinge of the mould handles with a stick every time to get the bullet to drop out, but the suprising accuracy makes up for this flaw to me.I size and check these with a Lee .309" die, lube them with Liquid Alox, and have had not problem with leading so far.My only wish is that Lee would make these in multiple cavity moulds so I can make them as fast as I can shoot them up.

Using Lyman#2 I get .311 ...

Using Lyman#2 I get .311 on the bands, and .302 on the nose. Weight is 200 gr. I just finished testing these in my 30-40 Krag with a new 308 barrel. Excellent accuracy if you don't push them too fast. I just wish the mold weren't so easily nicked. You have to be really careful.

I bought this mold in an ...

I bought this mold in an old single cavity mold at a gun show. Mine weighs 205 grain when cast of WW and some tin. Shoots very well in my .30-06's with mild loads of Trail Boss. I held my bullet up to the picture and it looks like the picture. BTW, this design in 180 grains should shoot good too. Bobby, I suspect your bullets are undersize for your bore. What do your bullets measure? I would expect that Springfield to like .310 or larger bullets. I had a Krag that was over size which was very common for them.

I cast this of WW lead, ...

I cast this of WW lead, hot quench, then size to .309 with gas check. Shoot at 1850 fps (with RL15) out of my 30-30 single shot. Very accurate, and if you soften the bullet noses they expand on deer, clean through at quartering angle. 8 of 9 of my Lee molds are excellent, one cast under size.

I also find this to be a very good mold to use, as well as shoot. In my 30-06 it shoots 1-2 inch groups at 100 yds. It does fill out nice. I still have the single cavity and not the 2 banger, but I will probably end up with the double. I would definitely recommend this mold.

The mold fills out the ...

The mold fills out the most easily of all my molds and it's the bread and butter of an accurate cast bullet. Without the gas check this produces wonderful varmint ammo. With a gas check it can come close to a full house load without excessive leading in the 30-06.

The mold I received cast ...

The mold I received cast a .314 bullet that weighed just over 200 grains when using a antimony lead mixture softer than #2 alloy. I used one of the cast bullets to take a deer last fall at about 70 yards. I get accuracy as good as can be expected out of my Lee Enfield 303 and military sights. Submitted these comments due to the exception to the others submitted as I purchased it after reading the comments. Maybe Lee made some changes?
