I shoot Cowboy Action Shooting. We use gun carts. I use a Rugged Gear gun cart. Their designs came from the shotgunning world, and the pouches for ammo are designed for shotgun boxes. Thus I use these for rifle and pistol ammunition, as well as shotgun. For shotgun they work well with a Mec loading stand that holds 25 rounds. The ammo box goes on upside down and you turn the stand over. The boxes get reused several times. I use clear shipping tape to seal them,

These are excellent boxes, well made and durable. They are a good value. I use them for all my slug loads and "other than clay" loads. They store well and are easy to use. A secondary use for them is if you have .223 Rem. or 5.56 NATO ammo on 10 round stripper clips; 12 loaded strippers fits nicely in the box if you alternate then so they nest well.

The ones that I received appear to be 1/8 inch smaller in breadth and width, and 3/16 smaller in height than my AA or REM boxes (factory load boxes)I disposed of them as useless

Great boxes. I have reused these a few times. They hold up well if you fold them flat between packings. Get the Frankford labels and you're all set.
