Excellent and quality upgrade

This kit does is well designed and makes a SBH much smoother to shoot. The only criticism I have is that there is no such thing as a "cylinder pin latch spring." Per Ruger terminology, there is a base pin latch spring, (which is what this kit has) and the cylinder latch spring (which this kit doesn't have). The description should be clarified.

Great kit. Huge improvement to guns feel and action. Took 30 minutes to install. (I took my time.) I think I could now do it safely in 15 minutes. I have average machanical skills. I also watched a video on Youtube that was excellent in showing how the gun disassembles.

I installed this kit on my .41 magnum Bisley Hunter. The installation was easy and it lightened the trigger pull while strengthening the hammer strike. The base pin spring is stronger which should help it hold up better under the heavy recoil of full power hunting loads. If you shoot Ruger single action revolvers you will want to install this kit.

I bought this new Blackhawk a month ago and couldn't hit squat. Turns out that the trigger pull was so tight that I was pulling the gun to the right just before the hammer would release. I own 2 older Blackhawks and their actions were much lighter than on the new one. Not only the trigger was tight but the hammer was a hard pull too. Trying it with my non-dominant hand was very difficult. I ordered these springs and now I finally have a nice gun. I haven't shot it yet but the hammer & trigger pull are much lighter. More like the older Rugers. The springs are fairly easy to replace if you are at all adept with tools and have a mechanical inclination. Otherwise, it would be good to find someone to do it for you. You will need a small punch and a good small screwdriver. The mainspring change is the biggest problem but there is a tool for that to make it a simple job. I didn't have to tool and it wasn't so simple. I also bought the book on Ruger Single Actions by Jerry Kuhnhausen and it was a tremendous resource. There is also a takedown and reassembly video on the Ruger web site that was helpful. This kit won't make your gun a hair trigger but will improve its performance dramatically.

I installed the Wilson Combat springs in both my Ruger Blackhawk and SuperBlackhawk. The improvement is significant. Trigger pull is unmeasured, but feels 50% lighter and 100% reliable. These springs seem to fit better than the originals. Easy to install. I didn't use the supplied base pin springs since I never had a base pin problem with my Rugers. Highly recommend this product. Very satisfied.

Wilson is great! If you look at S&W performance center you will see that Wilson springs and parts are what they use. I have a .357, 50Th anniversary model and it fit perfect. When I cock it, you can hear the performance; and the trigger is as light as I would want it. I recommend this spring kit to anyone who wants the BEST!John

Bought the gun digest book by J.B.Woods with this spring kit as I never stripped any of my pistols down before and it made the job go quite well. Big improvement over other single action blackhawks I have. Gave it four stars for I have not shot as of yet.

Excellent value for the money. I have matching Ruger vaqueros and when I put the spring kit in one of them you could definitely mix them up and easily determine the one with the new springs based on the feel. I am very impressed with the trigger spring. Trigger pull is greatly reduced and breaks cleanly. It's a great product and I am very satisfied.
