The Tipped TSX features a 100-percent copper body with rings cut into the shank. A polymer tip boosts the ballistic coefficient, improves long-range ballistics and provides fast expansion. The four razor sharp cutting petals double the bullet diameter making delivering "dead right there" performance.

These revolutionary bullets from Barnes are made of 100% copper and contain no lead. Barnes recommends initially seating bullets 0.050" off the lands. Best accuracy will be found from 0.030" to 0.070" depending on the rifle. This is not loaded ammunition.

I pulled out the tip and loaded these to 2.28 COL with H322 28gr with 20" barrel and they are awesome when I was tagging a baseball size target at 175 paces (170-180 yards). It is the perfect hollow point. They are too long to load any other way for the 6.8 magazine. I am sure that Barnes would say this is not acceptable practice. These load like the Winchester Razorback bullets.

I use this in both my 6.8 SPC 16 inch gas piston upper, and my 6.8 SPC T/C G2 Contender 14 inch barrel. I use AA2230. This powder won't give the highest velocities, but this produces a very accurate load that I use in either gun. I get 2510 out of the upper, and 2410 out of the handgun. It is not true that you can't use these for the rifle, but you can't crimp them in the grooves, you have to load them past the grooves, and they work fine. I agree that you chamfer your case necks, but I always do anyway. I shot one whitetail with the rifle, hit slightly low and it blew right through the sternum side to side, and the shock wave killed the deer. With the handgun I shot a massive Scimitar Horned Oryx at 120 yards quartering through the left shoulder, the top of the heart, and it embedded in the offside chest, another one shot kill. I recovered the polymer tip in the entry skin right at the surface, and I am convinced that the bullet opens immediately as published.

I put these to use this year in a 270 WSM Winchester featherweight and all 4 deer and 2 hogs dropped in their tracks at ranges from 110yds out to 360 yds. my load is IMR 4350 shooting sub moa running in the 3300 fps range. This is my new Wack-n-stack load!

1.5" group 100yds w/Ruger Mini-14 6.8 SPC. Used H322, CCI Small Rifle primers, Hornady brass, 2.275" COAL. We'll see how it does on Whitetails in November. So far an excellent bullet.

These are great looking bullets and most likely very functional as described. However I could not use them in 6.8mm SPC Remington rounds because the length of the actual head is too long to achieve the correct OAL. Only consider the product # 368634 which is the "regular" triple X heads from Barnes.

This is the best hunting ...

This is the best hunting bullet I have ever used. Until last year, I used Nosler ballistic tip bullets for all of my deer hunting. Last deer season I tried the Barnes TSX Tipped 110 grain bullets in my Remington model 700 .270 Win. I shot a doe and a small buck with them. The doe was in a dead run at about 50 yards. The bullet entered in the neck, and exited through the right shoulder. The deer slid about 30 feet upon impact. The exit hole in the shoulder was the size of a softball !! I shot the buck at 268 steps. Pass thru shot. Exit hole was the size of a silver dollar. Deer went about 50 yds. This is an excellent bullet, and the only bullet I will use from now on.

Worked well in 270 WSM for a whitetail this year. Dropped it cleanly but didn't even damage the liver. Nice to have good non-lead bullets for CA hunting, I should have used these before the stupid condor laws.

I've only been able to shoot this at 100 yards but it's been sub MOA, cutting a prefect cloverleaf out of my AR15, 6.8 Kotonics upper. Totally reliable in feeding. Loaded in Silver State brass with CCI #41 primers. Plan to do more testing as the weather warms.

OK guys. I let my wife use my AR 6.8 SPC to take a Red Stagg Hienz (cow). She took a shot at just over 100 yards and struck it in the left should, with the bullet coming out the right shoulder. It ran about 20 yards and dropped it in it's tracks. Silver dollar exit wound with very some meat damage. If you are looking for a bullet for your 6.8 to take deer size animals (around 150 to 200 lbs). Here it is.
