I have four of these ...

I have four of these great little platforms. I made the stand out of a 3/8 round bar cut to my desired height welded to a 12" x 18" x 3/4" plate for the base. I screwed a metal pipe nipple into the platform and drilled and tapped a 1/4 bolt into it to keep it from turning. two of them have Dillon 550B mounted on them. One has a RBCS and Pacific presses mounted back to back. The other has two Lee O-Presses mounted back to back. They work great in my little reloading room that is 10' X 10'. Only one has caused me problems which I repaired with a 1" x 8" board cut to length. This makes it strong enough to form wildcats on. I will be ordering another one, these are great.

It is what it is--a light ...

It is what it is--a light weight portable stand, for which I give 5 stars. I use it with a light Lee press to do light operations while watching TV (obviously, I need the money for a progressive press). It does not feel like it would take the stress of a heavy press doing heavy work, so use common sense. I also plan to take it to the range to seat bullets while working up loads to avoid having rounds with too much powder that have to be broken down.

This product is made of very hard plastic and it feels like that it will last a life time if not abused. I was very surprised to find how much resistance it gave me when I drilled holes to mount my press.

Performs as promised. ...

Performs as promised. However:- the injection molded plastic is not too strong, so when resizing large rifle or other thick cases, it's prone to fail. I broke one in five resizing ops on a Lee Load Master, and it gave way. The first one lasted the longest.- The reinforcing bars at the bottom interfere with the use of mounting washers that could eliminate problem #1.

Great space ...

Great space saver(apartment living). Carpeted floor can be a problem. Progressive press makes it a little front heavy.

I bought this stand ...

I bought this stand thinking I'd be able to load my ammo in air condition comfort of my den, instead at my reloading bench in the hot garage. After loading about 3 boxes of 357 Sig a support rib broke on the bottom. I then move the RockChucker to the other side and loaded a couple more boxes and another rib broke. Now is useless. Have to buy another top or just throw the stand and pole out the door. Kind of fragile

I have never had a ...

I have never had a problem with my portable reloading stand. I have loaded thousands of .45ACP rounds as well as .40S&W, .38, and .223 Remington with no problems. It is a touch small but I guess that's the point?! Very sturdy and great loading table.

I found that this stand ...

I found that this stand is as every one has stated, top heavy, turns on post, but, with just a few very small changes I found this to be very good for me. I first drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the mounting ring under the top plate, and into the tube, then I just use a 1/4 inch bolt and stick it into the hole holding all together so it doesn't turn when putting on any pressure when depriming, crimping etc. I only drilled through the tube on one side so the bolt just slips in and does not go all the way through the tube. if I find that I want to move the whole press a little, R or L, I simply take a hold of the table top and turn the post in the bottom base ( which seems to hold very tight) when you want to take your table down all you need to do is pull the 1/4 bolt out and lift off the top. As far as the base goes, I mounted a piece of plywood to the base,approx.1/2"x 24" x 52",(I doubled it for strength), I then bolted the base of the press to it using 4 bolts, also using wing nuts(so if you want to take it off for some reason) I put the little felt buttons you use on chair legs on the bottom side so it won't scratch the floor, I use a 12" stool when loading which I put on the opposite end of the board which does double duty, makes a good height for working also holds the table and press from moving, this will solve your top heavy problem. When it is time to put all away, just take off top table, pull the post out of the base and stand the board up in a closet or how ever you wish to store it. As far as using different press's etc, just mount them to other tops and exchange as needed. Been working for me for several years.
