KNS Precision "cross hair" type front sights offer the shooter a front sight that covers less of the target at longer ranges. The 0.240" diameter CNC machined blackened brass housing offers a large, bright field of view. Hooded sights have 0.250" housing for greater protection of the cross hair under demanding conditions and better shielding from stray light.

I purchased this sight ...

I purchased this sight from Midway and it's awesome, the crosshairs might disappear against a black competition target at distance, but I haven't found that to be the case with most of the targets I've used. Either way it will still allow for a consistent sight picture and centering of your eye. I have no problem with this sight and believe you can see it clearly even well over 300 yards.

Just got this in the mail ...

Just got this in the mail and installed it. Due to the hood there really isn't a sight tool that will work for it, but it went in easily. The sight picture is 100 time better than the factory A2 post. I did have an issue with the vertical crosshair being off a degree or two. I called KNS direct and they are taking care of it. Easy to install, great customer service and great idea.

I was really looking ...

I was really looking forward to this front sight but it would not fit my Colt AR 15 A2 Sporter (the style made from 86-89). Gave it to a friend who had no problems with it on his brand X AR, he loves it, especially since it was free to him.

Purchased this product for my DPMS Classic Sixteen. Works well. Very easy to replace existing sight. Good sight picture using the 0-2 aperture with quick target acquisition. Only negative is under low light applications crosshair clarity difficult to distinguish on target. Otherwise, great product!!

This is not a bad product ...

This is not a bad product but it has limitations. If you like to use iron sights to shoot long distances, this is not for you. Inside of 75 yards, this is a fantastic product. The crosshairs pick up well and a little work gives you a lot of confidence in them. As you reach out further, they are not as effective. Past 125 or 175 yards the crosshairs simply melt away when you are putting together your sight picture. The wires are simply too small. At 250 to 300 yards they just don't get the job done. Inside of 100 yards this is a GREAT TACTICAL PART, but if you want to shoot with tuned accuracy beyond that you should pass.

This sight fit perfectly ...

This sight fit perfectly on my standard A2 sight tower. I love the look, it's definitely much more unique than the standard posts. I only gave it four stars instead of five because it was slightly pricier than I was looking to spend on a simple sight post, given the ridiculous scope I have mounted on my AR. With that being said, this sight is very, very easy to use when I decide to attach my rear sight and aim the old fashioned way :).
