This is not an automatic primer feed as you might think. You have to lift up on the trough each time to let a primer slide into position on the priming post. Even so, it is still faster than handling each primer, and it's pretty inexpensive. Make sure the reloader is mounted on a level surface. You might need to use some fine sandpaper to smooth out burrs in the plastic trough, to keep the primers from getting jammed.

While I own a lot of Lee Precision products, as well as products from RCBS, Dillon, etc., and generally find the Lee products to be well made, useful, and inexpensive, this primer feeder is an exception as to the well made and useful departments. Primers do not feed smoothly into the chute, they get hung up in the chute due to many different reasons, they don't drop down correctly so that they can be set into the primer pocket without prompting them along with a pencil, pen, small screwdriver, etc. (eventually you will want to use a big hammer to "help" them along) and the whole assembly has to be popped up with a sharp "bump" on the tray itself essentially every time a primer is loaded into a hull so that another primer will supposedly start down the chute. I find that it is much easier and faster to put a half-dozen primers down on the bench with the flash-hole pointing up, and then push the resized and empty hull, which will still have the re-sizing ring on it down over the brass, down over the primer. Push down on the hull until the primer is in far enough to keep it from falling out. You then put the case into the priming station and pull down on the handle, which removes the re-sizing ring and also sets the primer to the proper depth at the same time. The process as just described can easily be done in 5 or 6 seconds after a little bit of practice, much faster than going through the hassles with the primer feeder. It is much easier to just take the feeder unit off of the base and not use it at all for anything. If you have a Load-All II and are thinking about "upgrading" by adding a primer feeder, save your money and buy some more components with it, unless you want to add it to your collection of potentially good ideas gone very wrong and/or bad.

The Primer Feeder for the Lee Load All 2 sounds great in concept, however it is a very flawed and nearly useless product. This is unusual for Lee Precision reloading products - which makes high quality products at competitive prices with great support.A miss here by Lee - hopefully some ingenious person will propose a modification that actually makes this product work :)A summary of the problems with this product:1. When attaching a feeder tray full of primers, the primers spill out the opening onto the feed ramp and go sideways or upside down as you try to insert the tray to the feed ramp.2. Primers become stuck/hung up3. Primers enter the priming base tumbled/upside down and sideways

I bought one. It jams ...

I bought one. It jams fairly consistently. Nice idea, but the implementation sucks. The only reason I didn't rate it a one star, is you can still single load primers with it mounted. I wasted ten bucks.The rest of Lee's products I have work very well. This primer feeder isn't one of them.

I had to constantly jiggle and manually adjust the line of primers into position with a small pick. The primers didn't seat into the base of the shot shell very well either. Some turned on their side and actually flipped up and lodged inside the primer press."This guy says it all, I found it faster to do it by hand and I didn't have any feeding problems. Save your self the $10 I wish I did...

First Lee Product I've ...

First Lee Product I've bought that I have not been happy with. Doesn't work at all. Spring is not strong enough to lift the primer feed high enough to let the next primer slide into place. Even if it did, primers don't slide down the chute w/o tapping and thumping it.

JUNK! JUNK! JUNK!Terribly ...

JUNK! JUNK! JUNK!Terribly frustrating piece of equipment. Primers continuously stick in the feed ramp especially Winchester. I have sanded and polished, lubed with graphite and furniture polish all to no avail. The bottom flange on the primers overlap and won't feed unless relieved with a small screwdriver or other pointed tool.Come on Lee you can do better than this

I was unable to get the ...

I was unable to get the primer feed to allow primers to move down the primer channel smoothly. Win209 primers stuck in the feed tube until I carved some plastic flashing from the channel. Primers also tended to jam in the feed chute due to the 3 piece design spreading apart. As stated before the feed is manual, and may be workable for some, but I find it easier and nearly as fast to single feed the primers.

A total disappointment! ...

A total disappointment! Primers continually stuck and would not feed, because the feed tube's injection mould was faulty and had a lump which blocked primer flow. Even after I reshaped it with a Moto-Tool, feeding was spotty. The unit needs to be re-engineered completely, with new moulds for the plastic parts. Also, it MUST be corrected to feed all brands of primer; simply saying in the instructions that some brands are unsuitable won't do. In such a case it isn't the primer brand that's unsuitable; it's the feeder design!
