Lee 2-Cavity Bullet Molds are a great choice for reloaders looking for a quality mold at an affordable price. Lee machines their mold blocks from aluminum making them rust resistant. Aluminum molds heat up and cool down faster than iron or steel molds and good bullets can usually be produced only after a few casts. In addition, aluminum blocks are one-third the weight of iron or steel mold blocks offering the bullet caster less fatigue during extended casting sessions. To ensure the best possible bullets, mold block halves are CNC machined for unmatched roundness and size control. Weights given are Lee's weights with suggested alloy; actual weight may vary due to the alloy mixture used.

I bought the 2-cavity ...

I bought the 2-cavity version of this mold, and it casts a bullet with a bevel base, unlike the flat-base configuration shown in advertisements for this mold. I intend to use this in a lever action rifle, not a handgun, and wanted a flat-base bullet. Lee needs to properly advertise what they are selling. I'll keep the mold and attempt to modify it to remove the bevel, since these don't cost much money.

My favorite cast 38 or 357 bullet. Easy to cast and accurate. The rounded profile with a large meplat make it ideal for handgun and lever action use. It feeds smoothly in a levergun yet has a good slap effect with the large flat point.

Receiving the Lee 2 cavity mold for the .357 FN 158 gr bullet; lube the mold and after warm up, start casting accurate bullets with spg lube and have had excellent results with mid range velocities. Using Red Dot powder out of my ol' M19, its accurate and mild recoil. For todays shooter its a excellent value.

I recently purchased a 158 gr .358 mold. The mold worked well after lubed & smoked. The only problem was the weights. After 250 cast bullets, the average weighed 164 grs after resizing. The diameter averaged .158/.159 which was right on the money. Even the difference in lead, which was slightly harder than pure, should not have varied more than 6 grs.

I use this in a marlin 1894c. Has been perfect with max loads of 2400 and minimum loads of trail boss. flies true and hits hard. I cast out of WW's and air-cool them. need to buy a sizer, almost too large of diameter. I get zero leading when lubed with JPW. great bullet and feeds good too.

Nice mold and easy to ...

Nice mold and easy to break in. Drops 0.360" Dia bullets after prep. Be sure the mold block is warm enough and smoked to get good bullets in 2-3 tries. Bullet cast is very accurate out of my S&W 357 mag 686. I was also able to put gas checks on the bullets dropped from this mold by squeezing the bottom drive band to size using a Hornady bullet puller. Carefully insert the bullet base into the collet fingers about 1/8". Adjust the puller just enough to size down the bullet to install the gas check by hand pressure. Next, crimp the gas check in place using a Lee bullet sizer. Then, lube the bullet with wax or Lee alox. Using this method, I am able to fire these bullets up to 1,500 fps w/o leading.
