The Leupold Mark 4 Picatinny-Style Scope Base is ideal for us on your long range rifle. Mark 4 bases feature a 15 MOA slope for long range shooting and are construced of solid steel. This base will accept either 6-48 base screws or oversized 8-40 base screws (both sizes of screws are included).

Ordered this base a week ago and put it on expecting to use medium PRW medium rings I already had and they were too high. Now I'll have to get some low rings for a 40mm scope. Other than that I'll have to agree, quality was everything you'd expect from Leupold.

I have purchased several Leupold 1-Piece Mark 4 - 1 and 2 piece base sets. They are more expensive compared to other brands but you can't beat the quality. The only thing that I would note on the 1-Piece Mark 4 bases is they raise the scope considerably higher than the 2 piece bases. I mounted a Leupold Mark 4 8.5-25x50mm LR/T M1 on a Remington 700 PSS Win Mag and was able to use Medium Rings with the 1 piece (the two piece would have used High Rings).
