I orderd up this stock over the Memorial Day Weekend. It arrived promptly and was as advertised. It is a tank but it is accurate and certainly free floats my Rem 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD barrel. I did order a replacement set of Remington Fasteners from Midway. Glad I did. With the original issue my bolt would bind but when I put the new ones in place all was perfect. Bi-pod adaptor works perfectly with my Harris Bi-pod. With the Hogue Stock my rifle was routinely shooting .535-.650 groups at 100 yards. First trip to the range and with the 165 BTSP rounds went .352 and the 175 gr HPBT Match Kings .313. I had no surprises but did anticipate the bottom metal bolt issue you read about on several forums. Just spend the $ and get the repacement bolts and all is well. I am pleased with this purpose and feel comfortable now working up Extended Range rounds.

The first fit on my Remington 700 AAC SD (Burris XTR 16x and TPS mounts) was pretty good right out of the box. The barrel channel is wide and looks a little weird and the bottom of the barrel was close but did not touch. After mounting strangely the point of zero moved down a couple of inches but once dialed in it consistently shot sub 1" groups at 100 yards. However so did the original stock. I was looking for something larger and more comfortable and in fact it is. The wide more vertical hand grip is good, and the hand hook at the bottom of the stock is very useful. The down side is it is VERY heavy so kind of takes some of the portability away. I just came off a counter Sniper school and this stock would make it a little more difficult to walk a mile and crawl a couple hundred yards on your belly with. The side sling mounts would make it easier to crawl with but again it is heavy. For the very reasonable price it seems to be a well-built stock and for stationary shooting it performs nicely. I give it 4 stars as it is not perfect but worth the price.

Originally wanted to put a McM on my 700 SPS Varmint .308 but I found this. I ordered one up and dropped my action in and took her to the range. I was extremely impressed with the solid feel of this stock, I like the texture and ergonomics as much as I like the adjustable rail for my bipod. As far as fitment, the action dropped right in with no worries but I recently added a Jewell trigger to complete my rifle build and had to use a dremel to remove just a bit of the plastic on the right side to accommodate the safety mechanism on the exterior of the Jewell trigger. On my last hunting trip, I dropped my rifle when I slipped on a rock. The stock held up extremely well while bouncing off of the rocks and the rifle held it's zero. There was minimal surface damage (scuffing) on a couple small spots which I was able to fill in with epoxy and cover with duracoat. A year after owning this stock, I am still extremely satisfied!!! BTW I consistently shoot sub 1/2 MOA with commercial 168's. The rifle ain't half bad for a store bought action...

Purchased for a Rem 700 SPS Varmint in .308. Fit was perfect. I have 2 of these stocks. The other one is on a Savage 10FP. They are a little heavy but an excellent buy if you want a sturdy tactical stock that free floats your barrel. The Choate cheek rest fits these stocks.

I purchased this stock for my Remington 700SPS 22-250. It is really well made, very strongly built, no flex. My group went from 1 inch to way under 1/2 inch at 100 yards. I liked it so well I bought a second one for my 700SPS in 223. I also purchased the Whidden track plate that goes in the stocks rail (Midway 955637) to fit my Sinclair BR Rest. Worked great. It does a really good job with the recoil, nice and straight in the rest. This stock saved me a lot of money over the name brand stuff and shoots really well. I am very pleased.

Purchased for my .308 Rem ...

Purchased for my .308 Rem 700 SPS Varmint. When mounted, the bolt would not close fully, even though nothing was touching. After trial and error, I put a washer under forward receiver bolt and it "unbound" the bolt. Gun performed flawlessly. My 14 yr old shot a 5 shot group at 100 yards that was covered by a nickle. Yep, this stock performs. If I did not have to add the washer/spacer, rating would have been five stars. Would purchase this stock again!
