Being an automotive tech, ...

Being an automotive tech, I suppose I am used to Mac and Snap On tool quality, so these punches were quite a disappointment. The smaller two punches bent upon installation of the receiver's various roll pins. I would recommend buying some better punches if you plan to build more than one rifle or take yours completely apart at any time.

I've used this set on five AR builds and this set is not worth the money. The 1/16 punch is way too soft for setting gasblock pins and bends like a wet noodle. I'm very impressed that the little punch hasn't fatigued right off but it's always been useless. The larger sizes are quickly distorted even using a brass mallet and makes me pull my hair out in frustration. I'm the polar opposite of a brand-snob and have tried lots of punch sets from Asia at a third of the price of these with poor results as well. Facts are facts, read the 100% reveiws for the brand that cost twice as much and just get it over with.

This punch set is terrible. Barely survived light use for a month. I would not recommend because I'm going to have to buy the more expensive brass punch set I had considered before buying these. I should have just spent the money on the nicer set and never bought these. They are JUNK.

This set is perfect for installing a trigger kit on Ruger 10-22 rifles. It so happens to contain all pin sizes needed for the 10-22 trigger group and bolt assembly. It is a precision, quality tool to efficiently remove pins and prevent a deformed pin. These punches will not bend if used properly and not abused. I really don't know how any manufacturer could improve upon this set. 10-22 owners with skilled hands will appreciate this relatively inexpensive set.

This product is garbage. I used one of them to remove gas tube and at the first tap of my tapper tool this punch broke. Imagine that, one slight tap and it broke.

1/16" Punch A is too ...

1/16" Punch A is too soft. To punch out a roll pin on an LCR front sight, the punch bent easily on the first hammer blow. After hitting the pin five more times and straightening the punch five more times, the pin finally worked loose. I would only recommend this set of punches for light duty. Resetting the new roll pin included in the Hi Viz front sight package was no problem with the 3/32" Punch B.

This is a great set of punches to have around. I have built a few rifles and pistols, plus many other gun repairs with these and have not had a problem so far. The small ones must be used carefully or they will bend or break, but that is true of any thin piece of metal.

Ordered this so I could install some accessories on my AR15 and they work perfectly. Successfully changed out the charging handle latch and trigger guard tonight with the help of these tools. Make sure you pick up a roll pin start tool as well though. I lost a pin because I couldn't get it started properly.

Worked fine for 2 builds, by the 3rd build both the smaller pins had bent. On my 4th build the smallest pin for the gas tube would not stay straight, I give the smaller pins a 0 for quality.
