I read the other reviews, thought what the heck, I'll try it. The darn thing works . Good workmanship, good materials. A needle and thread and ten minutes and it fits my Sig 238 . Rides nice does not shift around. Might need a little padding if worn for a long time.

First ankle holster I have tried. Don't know about the rest but this is a real gem. Comfortable, secure and works far better than I thought it could. I found in my particular usage this works extremely well wearing it on the right leg with the grip pointing forward. For a right hander this is a very natural grip on the gun if I need it.

Everything Doug said about this holster is correct. I have ran with it and worn it for extended periods of time with no problems. I am not a quick draw guy but I still have it with me and concealed in the summer time when it's difficult to carry concealed on the waist. Mine has finally worn out (velcro is losing it's grip) after five years of continuous off duty carry. The only downside is that there is no such thing as a stealthy draw as the velcro makes a pretty distinctive sound when the gun is drawn.

The phrase "cheap is not ...

The phrase "cheap is not a bargain" does not apply to this holster. I got this on a whim not liking to carry a behind the hip holster all the time. This holster is comfortable and secures the gun well. I tried many manuevers to shake it loose w/o success. After initial adjustmeents and becoming used to the feeling I wore it 6 hrs straight. In practicing draws with straight leg jeans I was able to get an average of 5-7 second draws to 1st shot. Although I don't know about it's longevity or how it compares to other ankle hosters for 12 bucks, you can't go wrong. Works best with the standard G27 mag, little slower to draw and has a bigger print with the + 2 mag.
