Good ammunition, just be ...

Good ammunition, just be wary that if a round fails to feed, the tip can be damaged or misshapen by the feed ramp. I only had it happen once(I blame the magazine, not the ammo), but it's something to consider. As for performance, absolutely no complaints after firing a couple boxes through my Saiga.

This ammo shoots very well in my Mini-30. Fired several boxes with no failures or hang-ups. Decent group sizes from my particular rifle, with averages running just under 2" at 100 yards. Have not hunted with this ammo yet, but given that the Golden Bear shoots nearly as accurately as the high dollar stuff, I will be giving it a try next deer season. Having taken two blacktails and two whitetails in years past with ultra-cheap Norinco ammo, I am certain this higher quality offering will perform even better.

Being a AR shooter, this is great ammo (Brass Coated) for general shooting. IT'S CHEAP. I had read about the Russian primers being hard and that AR15's don't have a strong primer strike. I have fired 100 rds and I have had two FTFs. Not a big deal on the range, but if you have game in the sights, it is a BIG DEAL. So, if its a Cheap Soft nose bullet with no polymer finish you are looking for, this is it. If you are hunting with your AR, look elsewhere.

Shot great out of my scoped 18 inch AR-15. Two inch groups or less at 100 yards. Deadly on 8 inch plates at 200 yards. Feeds and functions well. No FTF in last 500 rounds. Pretty clean burning ammo. Have not yet tried this on game.

These are excellent rounds. They feed nicely through my Hungarian AK-47 with surplus steel magazines. I have had no problems with them at all. They are also far superior to military surplus ammo in that they are not corrosive and I found them to be more accurate than surplus as well. I think they would make a potent defense round. I read in a magazine that soft points actually expand better than Hollow points in this caliber. If you are looking for the ultimate defense round though, go with the Hornady V-Max. As for price, I think these are priced right even though they are not reloadable. In my opinion, it doesn't get better than this when it comes to cheap 7.62 ammo.
